Not having TD here doesn't feel right, but I'm not sure who he'd replace.

Gross did more for us than Mills, as much as I love both.

Kasay should not be overlooked.

And it suggests that memories are not that good if we have 3 of the top 5 on the current roster.

I thought the days of this place overvaluing a kicker was over.

I live on the edge.  You could say I am edgy.  If I were an animal, I would be an edgehog.

Ok, I am done.:poo:

Even though Cam and Luke are still relatively young and it seems like they just got here but I gotta agree that those two are our top two Panthers of all time. Pep would be if he didn't leave for so long or at all, and maybe even if he had come back in '14 instead of last year. Mills is the heart and soul of this organization with TD following him there. Smitty is a legend of course and has a place. I agree with this list for the most part. I couldn't put Luke or Cam above each other though, they're equal.

I wouldn't put Mills. Dude is a Saint first. I'd actually like to see Moose on that list.

You know there wasn't a team here in carolina when he played for the saints right?  He was legitimately on the very first panthers team, then coached the team and gave the speech that has become our matra, I mean, I don't know how much more "panthers" he could be.

    • He makes a good point about Wallace.  In fairness to Wallace it is hard to play your position as freely as you need to when your defensive line is getting pushed around like ragdolls.  One of the greatest attributes a defensive line has is sucking up blocks, freeing up your linebackers.  Our defensive line couldn't suck up a lollipop more or less blocks.  I think Evans, Sanders and Tremble are going to be a really nice TE group.  I can see all three getting time on the field.  If Sanders can improve as a blocker teams won't be so inclined to believe it is a pass play whenever Sanders is on the field.  Ryan Fitzgerald, I think was an awesome pick-up. Hopefully he can fill our kicker void. Luke Kandra many turn out to be our next Norwell.  Everything I have heard about him says he's a beast.  He needs some refinement, but the good news is he's got Hunt and Lewis (arguably the best guard tandem in the league) to learn from.
    • Great teams build through the draft and have several young players that start that are on rookie contracts. It's important to hit on players in rounds 4 thru 7.  These should be future starters and solid depth.  When you hit on most of your picks you free up a lot of cap space for those one- or two-year players to fill spots you are thin at. No GM is going to perfect on all their picks.  You're going to whiff every once in a while.  That was Hurney problem.  He'd nail the first pick but after that it was reach after reach and we couldn't get any depth on this team. I'm excited about Morgan as our GM and hopefully he'll be around a long time.  It will be even better if Canales can continue to grow as a head coach, both in the development of young players and play calling. I remember last season after Young came back in the lineup and started to perform well.  We saw different plays I had only seen other teams use.   If Canales's play design and play calling continue to grow. Morgan and Canales will be linked together for a long time.  It would be nice to see a Coach and GM together for a decade or two. Go Panthers
    • They also came out for the encore and the singers were dressed in canes jerseys. Pretty fuging cool.
