Saw this coming when he got suspended, doesn’t want to go out like that and I don’t blame him. Wouldn’t mind seeing him again next year as long as he’s still playing at a high level.

This is very good if he takes on the role of 3rd LB and leader on D, rather than starting with Luke. It's Shaq's time. And if he'll accept behind paid for that role rather than starting LB.

This is the only scenario I'd be interested in seeing.

Assuming Shaq steps up this year and fulfills his potential, I'd love to see Davis come back in the role of 3rd LB.  What I don't want is to see Davis continue to sit in front of Shaq, if Shaq is actually going to be what everyone thinks he will.

Honestly, this suspension is probably the best thing we could have hoped for.  It gives Shaq the opportunity to show everyone exactly what he can do without looking over his shoulder.

Would be good to have around as quality depth but his days of being a productive every down player are coming to a rapid end.

It's probably a matter of how a body feels at the end of a 17 game season as opposed to how it feels after spring mini-camp.
