It’s been s problem in Charlotte for years.  He does not have to go to boarder to help starving kids.  He just need to go downstairs of his apartment.

Yes, it's a problem everywhere. But suggesting no one cares about it is a bit disingenuous. Here's a couple of excellent organizations you can donate to or better yet, volunteer to help: http://www.urbanministrycenter.orghttps://www.hopehousefoundation.org

I think a real step forward would be for Josh to go to Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, etc... and beat the living piss out of the parents that sent their kids, unaccompanied, on an incredibly dangerous journey to the United States.

The worst "family separations" and vast majority of them (80%), in fact, DON'T happen at the border... they happen when idiotic parents stick their kids on a train with coyotes, to get them to the border.

It's just that these parents know that the detention facilities are 100x's nicer than where they came from, so... on the off-chance that we revert back to "catch and release", the kids get to basically stay in a nice, clean place with food, video games, and TV... and then they get to live in America.

I volunteer and envolved in the community.  I bet 99% of Charlotte don’t even know there are over 4,000 homeless kids.  No one cares... people only care what they hear and see on the news.  Those two links you provided will not solve anything, it just temp help.

That is simply and damnably false. I know the people who run and work at those organizations. Kathy Izard, who basically raised the money to build Moore Place, is a friend. How dare you call her and the good people at Urban Ministries "temp help" when they have devoted their lives to housing people who need it. Go volunteer at Urban Ministries and come back and tell me it's just "temp help." Talk to the thousands of people they are continually helping and come back and tell me it's "temp help."

if there were any justice in this world they would've been born here into relative luxury and you would've been born there and murdered by political violence caused by american policies of destabilization that you unironically support

Temp help...  4,000 homeless kids 4 years ago and almost 5,000 now.  They assist with few things here and there and that’s great but not actually fixing the issue.  They also barely deal with kids as most of their services are for adults.  But that’s great you have good friends tho.

Wait, people are blaming America for Mexico's problems now? Since when should America be the savior of all countries? I know that my family were immigrants, I have the paperwork to prove it. However, they came hear legally, you cannot tell me the conditions they came over legally is better than the illegals come over now.

I would say this... Quit blaming the current administration for these immigration woes... We have had illegal immigration problems for decades, There is only 2 ways to solve the situation.... Sit on your butt and do nothing, be very lax on rules or laws,  or Be very strict and stern about immigration rules a laws. Either one of them is right nor wrong. It is just how they are interpreted. Think of it as a Judge... some judges are more lax on laws than others. same situation.

Many immigrants have a false understanding of buying power of a dollar in US.  My father was making $200 a month when I was a kid back in my homeland... it was decent money but we knew he can make $2,000 a month in US... 1,000% more....  in our head we were instantly rich!  When we moved to US, reality slapped us right in the face...  Our buying power actually dropped...  $200 in my homeland went way farther than $2,000 in US.  I can guarantee many immigrants can relate.  Number one reason immigrants flock to US is chance to be rich... aka the new gold rush.

Well, that's almost the winning political argument to win all political arguments.

There's only one left that beats it.

the US going to those countries to 'beat the piss' out of people is a major cause of the state of the countries they're fleeing from.

Now we know why ECU is a safety school for App, UNCC and UNCW
