Lol at anyone who thinks we're gonna get Devin on the cheap

That’s what, a base of 10 million a year? I think that’s what most people were expecting in that other thread. I’m sure people won’t want to pay him more than that

Tyler Lockett has only had one season of over 600 receiving yards, and is just basically Go Fast for the Seahawks.

Devin is gonna get more than this, whether it be here or the open market, esp if he balls out this season.

He's pretty much been their #3 behind Baldwin and Richardson, then throw in Jimmy Graham too.

Funchess has only had 1 year with over 500 yards too.

Lockett is also a return weapon already making a probowl there

Graham is a Packer now.

He is and Richardson is a Redskin

But the 3 seasons Lockett was there, they were with the Seahawks making Lockett the 4th option on the team.

He's had more yards than Funchess over 3 season.  Funchess had a better year last year but was the #1 guy with Olsen down and KB traded.  Only other guys taking his targets were CMC and Bersin.

Lockett is also a probowl return guy which adds to his value when they resign him as well.  Funch doesn't

2015 - He had his rookie pro bowl year (as a returner)

2016 - Broke his leg

2017 - Worked on coming back to 100 % from the broken leg (and still is).

They love Lockett in Seattle and are paying him for what they believe he will become and also his return abilities. Not sure how anyone can really compare Lockett to Funchess in anyway.

Funchess is being called a number 1 receiver, and if he catches for 1000 yards this year he’s getting paid 15 million a year and all the moaning here and homerism will not stop it.

so either he stays and puts in his contract year and next year good buy, thanks to Dave and Matt Kalil,..

or we trade him and get an Oline or a 2nd rounder or something to set up next year without him.

or we pay him,..

    • Seems to me that the Bucs have less fight in them now than they had in week 16. The real test is going to be if the Panthers can sustain focus and discipline throughout. With the Bucs being at home, maybe that gives them a little boost of confidence and energy.  Wouldn’t it be something if for ONCE the Panthers came out and dominated from the opening snap and just took this shook Bucs team to task?  If the Panthers see-saw form follows, we are in line for the W. Hard to say we have momentum but we do have a pretty clear pattern of following a loss with a win.  I’m going to say 24-16 Panthers!!
    • When Parcell’s said Bryce better “walk on water”…..the implied concern wasn’t that the tiny QB could survive being hit.  It was acknowledging he would have to be extremely special to overcome the handicaps he would face at this level.  Which he isn’t and can’t.  which isn’t just being hit.  It’s being able to play in an NFL pocket and make NFL throws from it….and that ultimately is Bryce’s problem.  He doesn’t play well from a NFL pocket and can’t make all the throws as needed.  He can’t see as others can.  Which impacts the throws he does and doesn’t take.  It also impacts him bailing and killing plays and turning them into scrambles/dead plays
    • 9:30 kick off here in Scotland, which is better than the 01:20 early hours of Monday that I feared. Will definitely be watching, but probably wouldn't if it had been 0120 as I need to be up for work at 05:45. Falcons Saints is 6pm on the Sunday so will watch that too if it becomes relevant
