I want actual examples and reasoning for why you all hate Amini so much. Or are you all just piling on the hate train. I've never thought he was as bad as some of you act

I appreciate your loyalty to Panther players--I try to give them every opportunity before trashing them--Silatolu is a stupid football player.   Yes, he gets pancaked and misses blocks--yes, he fails to pick up the blitz once in  a while and there are times when he only sucks some and not fully.  I have yet to see any redeeming qualities. How long was he unemployed and how many offers did he get?  A 27, 28 year old starting guard does not get a phone call?  Rivera is the only person on the planet who likes him--his mother is indifferent.

Unless Norv pushes back and asserts some control over his unit, we all know what happens.

I really like Rivera as a man and he's better than most as a coach, but his insistence on sticking with his preferred vets come hell or high water is just infuriating. How many times now have we seen vets get hurt and his younger backup come in and be immediately and glaringly better? Especially along the OL.

You telling me that Norv doesn't set the depth chart for the offense?

I have no idea where that stuff is coming from. Position coaches and coordinators setting the depth chart? What? He's called the head coach for a reason. I'm sure head coaches take position coach and coordinator opinions and factor them into their depth chart decisions and for most teams it's probably more or less a joint effort, but the head coach ultimately sets the depth chart. If your boss wants that guy to play, that's that. He's your boss.

Hey, I'll admit that I have those same fears. But...I also have a great feeling about this year. So I take those fears, and I shove them down, way down into the pit of my soul. My heart says Coach knows that he has to play his best players if he wants to field his best team. But my head says that Coaches, in general, prefer the Devil they know, over the one they don't. But boy, Moton, and Van Rotten looked good.

Plus, I am very hopeful that Norv will have some input on the situation.

I am taking the stance that good things are going to happen. So until something bad actually happens. I am still giddy for the future. But then again. I have been giddy over the future for the last 3 years. So I have that going for me.

Thats the thing though, Ron is so loyal to his vets.  Its almost impossible he is going to bench His guy unless injured.

Like pointed out.  After released by the Bears, no one gave him a phone call untill we did the offseason.

The dude is terrible and only reason he has a job is because he's Ron's boy.

He has gotten Cam kileld in the past yet he is still on this roster.   He has got wrecked in camp, yet still on this roster.  Then you have undrafted guys looking much better than him.  But Ron will throw this trash right back into the starting lineup despite being outplayed.  Just because he's.......a vet.

Heck who knows how lomg Norwell woupdve been on the bench had Amini never got hurt and Forced Ron to put him in.

Just think.  This dude got LESS phone calls than Byron Bell or Remmers when in the open market.  Yet he is still here, and still a starter over young guys who have played better than him

Not just still on the roster, but according to Ron he was looking great prior to getting hurt. Oh wee mayne. I want to say it's just coach talk being respectful of his players, but we're the only team in the NFL willing to even consider Amini for employment and we seem hell-bent to actually put him on the field.

I get what you're saying, but I don't agree that Norv would be alright with it if he disagreed about the players ability versus anothers.
