Ron Rivera says Daryl Williams injury

The thing that worries me about Williams injury is most of the time stability on the line is sometimes better than ability.  (except for M K he's gonna suck no matter how long he's in there)  We just need to put together some continuity so the line can gel.  These injuries set back that process considerably.

I understand that and I think Thomas will eventually acquire that skill.  I don't know if anyone noticed but Olsen seemed to be laboring before he went out.  I'm concerned that he will be limited all season and I've felt this way since training camp.  I'm hoping and I'm sure the coaches are hoping that Thomas will step up sooner rather than later.

Yes I noticed he was in pain even before, assumed it was his back. I am afraid Olsen’s aging quickly and, while still effective when he plays, his body can’t handle it anymore.

I dont know why, but in not as concerned about Olsen's injury as I am about Williams.  I feel Ian Thomas is a star in the making and that he will fill in just fine.

Agree on Thomas, but the Hope going into this year was that we'd have a really good too tight ends that with both of them. That might not happen now.

Wow that is not good news.  I really hate to say it.  I love Greg. But the next time we see him it might be in the booth. Declining an interview tells me he knows the severity.

Hope I am wrong.

Olsen never declines interviews. It's one of the things that the media guys love about him.

It's also why seeing him turn them down makes people think something's up.

Per a league source, Daryl Williams’ knee injury is (as Rivera mentioned) indeed different than the MCL tear and patella dislocation suffered in camp and he will get an MRI tomorrow morning to assess the actual injury and see what comes next.
