My one take away...

DJ Moore got his first NFL catch late in this game.  This coming off a week of Ron saying they wanted to bring him along slowly in contrast of Quinn on Ridley....

well it is obvious how stupid that is.

DJ Moore has unmatched ability even if a rookie compared to the rest of our WRs.  They need to throw him into the fire and give the kid legit reps.   That 50+ yard TD was largely on DJ after the catch.

and why did Cam go at him late? Because he is tired of average dudes at WR who aren’t playmakers.  Smart ball actually would have been to a big body but I can’t blame game.    You can tell how tired he is from average play everywhere.  With Olsen gone he has CMC to throw the ball to.  No one else a real threat.  Just dudes who might catch the ball.

Play DJ Moore Ron and I’m not talking about a couple end around fakes.  Throw the dude out there and let him play WR.

I think DJ and C.Samuel should be our starting WRs. They aren't tall, but they both have a penchant for getting open and catching the football (something the vast majority of WRs on our offense  in the Rivera/Cam era haven't been able to do consistently).

Hopefully Samuel comes back before our next game he was by far and away our best WR in the pre season

I mostly agree with you, but Moore doesn't know how to get open like Samuel at this point. He is going to have to prove that he can. Samuel gets open with regularity. He showed it last year, and in preseason this year. I hope he comes back soon.

Sadly, with Rons history

Moore Is going to brought in slow no matter how much the 2 starters struggle.

And Samuel, despite looking the best WR in preseason.  The only way he gets in is if they take Wright (one of the only WRs prodcing) out to insert him in at the 3

Yes, I know that everyone has fallen in love with Wright based upon a few catches today, but we need to get Samuel in just as soon as we can.

Cam said thank you after the draft for damn near no reason.

I dont think Cam was saying thank you for 2-3 years down the line when the coaching staff wants to decide he is ready.

Pretty sure he was saying that for the right now.

When Ron thinks of rookies, he pees in his diaper a lil bit.

Okay so I think we'll all agree that our best WR today was Wright.

He plays in the slot.

When Moore was on the outside this preseason, he sucked.

Moore's touchdown today was from the slot immediately after he subbed in for Wright off of a catch.

I do agree Moore should get more touches,  but I don't think he's yet ready to play outside. I do hope he gets more chances though. He showed today why we drafted him.

I'm hip to that noise. DJ showed everything he is on that TD grab. Smooth catcher of the ball, and a runner once the ball is in his hands. I realize the tackle was bad, but the guy did put a hit on him. DJ just shrugged it off, and headed up field. Cam even threw his Hail Mary at DJ.

Smith showed some heart with his late TD grab. So maybe Cam will stick with him. Thomas got a late throw as well. So it will be interesting to see how this all plays out. But I am firmly in the DJ needs more targets club.

I am also firmly in the Samuel needs to get back out there club. If he can that is. Health is more important than football. But get your butt out there young man. lol

Samuel, as well as DJ are both dangerous with the ball in there hands. I know it's still early in the year. But man, if we can get both of these kids on the field? eeeewwww we mayne I tell ya what.

    • Another layer to that is Ive seen Seattle has been in the market for CB help this off-season.   Michael had a higher PFF grade than Horn who got 15 games this season. He wants to be here too, that's a huge bonus for any 5 win team that had awful pass rush.  The 7th rounder Michael Barrett didn't last long on Seattle, he was cut before the season I think and ended up on browns PS. He's already been on 5.......5 teams within one year.......
    • You have gave the board some recent gold via posting. Heres my poor attempt at the truthful play-by-play of the time during post- I pulled out the old laptop to do my shitposting and check on websites. Open the huddle and see this new thread. Open thread and read CRAs post, {inner thinking, oooOOooo this is my lane and I got this}. Make sure not to scroll even to the 2nd post. 23% of current neurons still firing start up and two names appear- Captain and Josh....... about another 43 seconds past "O GOD" it's July 4th weekend and I got medicine to pick up. (If the laptop didn't give away my aging, the meds should...) I need to split, think long panther careers and the hint-  Ryan Kalil was a late 2nd and Pro bowls(even all-pros too) he's got to be OLman and Mikie Minter is among the all-time Panthers career leaders. Drop my post. Scramble to get keys, wallet, and phone. Check my phone- its 17% battery.....fug I now have to raw dog the pickup line and put the phone on charge.... Flip flops, sweat ringed filled hat, and shades acquired. Get in my pos rav4 and think about not running the A/C. Pull out the drive way and reach the 1st stop light, A/C is wide open. I check my shirt to see if there's any new stains on my house shirt, bush off the Bojangles salt that I see.... Neurons re-fire and focus on the comments CRA made that no one would get this....... Dang IT, that means it isn't Ryan Kalil or Mike Minter! CVS is close, but I know its impossible I get back withing 10 minutes to change my post and my phone is on the charger. {Think you monkey, at one point you were a draft nerd}. Reach the CVS line, by some grace its not 5 cars deep during 5 o'clock traffic hell. Im second in line after the car in front of me both turn in, they have to go back and forth to line up while Im a pro for that geometry. Neurons finally reach peak performance as Ive re-thought draft classes. Think obscure and unknown 7th rounders with long careers. Some Sunday/Monday night member berry fell out of my Melon, Will montgomery during the players intros for washington. I thought he out of the league and was shocked to see him still playing around the 2015 years. I do a goggle background check and that refreshed memory. Pick up the meds and enjoy the sweet smelling cool CVS air. Driving back and check in on one of the local bums at the big stop light, wow he's got a new fancy rug. Think about all the old food I got and need to start giving it away and rethink it. Reach home and post a follow up and I know Minter is wrong too, I check the draft history and see Robert Mcclain. Too late, but that would have been my guess....open CRAs link and get "upset" at the DBs name.
    • THANKS my guy! Keeping up with this threads theme, if I view a thread and there's only 20 posts and some time passes. If I see there's one new post and read the name; @Dave Gettleman's Shortsis among the chosen few that I will reopen that thread just to see what you posted.    Thanks again, plus not just a scout, thats scotty mccloughans son?!?!? If not for the deep claws of booze, scotty is among the best talent finders this league has recently had. Last I heard he ran a consulting business. Caden could be one of those who's on a early path to being a GM in the future. I was a big fan of his dad, dam shame about booze demon ruining his career.
