Why are we surprised by the injury bug? It’s 2018. Don’t know what it is about even years, but on offense we are now without 4 of the original starting 5 OL and one of our FA backup G/T, our starting pro-Bowl TE and 2 of the 3 WRs who looked the best in preseason. On special teams we are missing our best kick/punt returner. On defense our starting CB who replaced another FA CB and one of our starting Ss. Oh and we're missing a suspended LB.

Everyone groaned at the early bye week but the NFL knew...

Pretty much this. This team has been getting hammered by the injury bug every other season seemingly forever. It's played a huge factor in our inability to ever put together back to back winning seasons.

I feel we should fire all medical staff and get new ones lol, I can't help but feel like we're one of the worst teams in the league every year for injuries.    Madden should give our whole team 20 injury rating.    I have no numbers to back up these claims.

Yep, it will be nice, but all those injuries and we are only 2 games in. It’s like a copy of 2016 where the OL was just injury after injury. Thank god we drafted Moton otherwise we’d be completely fuged on the outside. 3 of our starters were backups last year and 1 was sitting on the couch. The other 1 is a shell of his former self. How we only gave up 2 sacks (one was a CB blitz) against Beasley, McKinley and Jarrett is amazing.

We don't have the privilege of other teams like NE or the eagles to where our own division is a cake walk either.

    • That he gets worse while at the same time getting more exposure is just typical.
    • And, yes, I've been a slow boil, but watching continually watching shitty displays of football for weeks has me frustrated.
    • Bryce just didn't maximize Hunter Renfrow's skills. ***rant incoming*** But this isn't just about Bryce Young mistiming passes to Renfrow so bad that he's going to get Renfrow killed or hurt, this is also about incompetentence by Dave Canales. Renfrow can still play. He's putting DBs in a blender out there---making them play twister at the top of routes to keep up with him, and dumb Dave has the nerve to cut him. How about putting Hunter in the best position to help the damned offense by appreciating his skill set, DC? You're letting Bryce's apparent inability to make an accurate throw, or at least his timidity to push the ball down the damned field cloud your judgment and miscalculate talent---or maybe just miss on talent just as much as Bryce misses passes due to playing pussified football. It's fúcking unacceptable.  Speaking of misjudgment, I don't know if it's Dan Morgan or Canales, but Eijiro Evero is not the business at DC. I have said a few times that his scheme is not conducive to run-stopping efficiency. Hell, and after watching some clips of plays, now I absolutely know why. The gaps are at least half open before the play even fúcking starts. You are setting the opposition's RBs up for success with too much damned space at the line and in the second level. If our guys are taken out in these areas---at the line and in the second level---then the defense is screwed because it must rely on the safeties to cover too much ground to make the tackle. At least put Ransom in who is motivated to seek and destroy if you're going to effectively leave the safeties on an island.  And speaking of rookies, get our two new defensive ends more snaps to see if we can't generate more of a pass rush. For all the good the continued sorry display of defense that you're putting out for fan's to see (Ejiro, Dave and Dan), you may as well get the rookies generously involved. Fúck that money we gave second-rate (maybe second-rate) vets, we need a damned spark getting after the QB. Watch it, it's just another breakdown of the sh¡t we were subjected to last week. I say this with all respect: Fúck you, Dave! Fúck you, Dan! Learn how to run a fúcking franchise. Maximize the players, regardless of what you think you're supposed to do by the book. Cut the dead weight before another season is lost and fans lose interest in September. EE is "Ew!" Or for emphasis "EEw!" /end rant
