I was against signing Reid...

But I’m thrilled! Our defense is now rock solid at every spot. Dalton threw for 300 yards and multiple TDs on Colin Jones alone. HUGE upgrade there. Don’t care what we paid now that the deal is done (but please be near vet min...) just happy we got a huge upgrade on Jones midseason. Let’s fuging go people. That was our only real need and it was glaring and we filled it with ease.

I don’t care what they paid him this year honestly. We cleared up cap from Luke’s deal for a reason. It’s a 1 year deal. If he sucks, then he won’t be here next year or go against the cap. If he balls out, then we got a steal at safety for a year under $5 million.

It’s not like we have tackles on the street that we can sign right now with that extra cap space that would be an upgrade over Clark and Moton

Getting signed by a team probably doesn't do much for proving the "collusion" that he and many seem to believe in so very strongly.

I hope for the best for Reid and the defense's performance.

It took a new owner IN WEEK 4 who has spoken publicly against trump. without Tepper he wouldn't be signed  I think it helps his case

If Tepper called Goodell and asked for permission then it’s collusion. Of course we’ll probably never know if he did or not

I have also heard he has injury concerns and I've also heard he is more of a SS than a FS. But like other posters have shown, he can't be worse than Jones. But will he be worse than Tre Boston is the question I'm actually interested in.

The fact that most of us were dying to get Tre Boston here should speak wonders. That we just need that level of play to be where we need to be. Reid is better than that.

    • So funny see people continue to talk like Darnold isn’t one of the best QBs in the NFL for the second season in a row. Two different teams and situations, he is for real and not just a product of the system.   He struggles under pressure lol what QB doesn’t? Did anyone watch Mahomes in the SB?
    • While I was aware that Horn does not shadow WR1 I learned something interesting in the game from one of the announcers ... Horn ALWAYS plays the short side of the field.  As in, he will switch sides when the ball moves from one hash tag to the other. It seems intuitive that short side of field equals easier route coverage (correct me if I'm wrong) and expanding further I wonder if Mike Jackson was put into that role would his stats improve? If Horn is such a shut down corner, why isn't he just following the biggest WR threat around the field? Is there something inherently harder about covering the short side of the field?  Why make life easier for your best CB?
    • I wonder what the true state of Chuba's calf is? I remember it being mentioned a couple of times last year that it was something they were managing then after the Cardinals game last year we put him on IR. He then reinjured it this year. That would seem to explain why he looks slower and less explosive than in years past. Chubas running style was a one cut explode through the hole type of back and it just doesn't look like he has that ability right now.
