I have no complaints about the Carolina Panthers offensive line

Unfortunately .. we were saved by injury and not coaching decisions.  Everyone here knows for damn sure that if healthy  Amini and M. Khalil would be on the field now.   Both are arguably (if your last name is Silatolu or Khalil) the worst OL on the team.  Ok .. maybe not Khalil..

Do I think Khalil is probably our best LT.. maybe.  But the fact that it's debatable and he is making 10 times more ..is what bothers the heck out of me. Couple that with the fact that makes him damn near un-cuttable for the foreseable future makes it even worse.

Amini is an amalgamation of all the bad things people want to happen to Cam Newton made into physical form.  He should not be on our roster even as a backup.  The fact that he is still on the team makes me believe the Illumanti is real.

Going into the season I was worried about our OLine and Secondary.

Right now I am only worried about our front 7 defensively.  I really hope Davis helps sort stuff out.

Our OLine is playing great.  Our secondary, all things considered, is pulling their weight.  I don't expect all pro secondary play.  But they are routinely having to hold coverage for so long due to the front 7 not getting any pressure that they are going to give up more plays than normal.  Don't get me wrong, I'd like to see our secondary improve.  But they are operating within acceptable levels to me, all things considered.

When our front 7 decides to show up, our secondary won't look nearly as bad.

    • Yeah that's sad.  I couldn't believe it.
    • It would depend on how we lost... If we lose a bunch of 17-13 . 20-7 type games where the defense plays well and offensively Bryce is sh***TING the bed...then he wouldn't get fired.  If we are losing 40-9, 38-14 type games..then yeah it's a possibility.   Couple that with our tough schedule.. if we show well in lets say half those games.. win either Seattle or New England game, at least 1 win vs division oponents.. he's good.  So imo.. to get fired he needs to : Loose badly against the top tier teams ie Blown out Show no progress offensively from last year. Show an unwillingness to bench Bryce again if he is horrible over multiple games ..  Get swept by the Saints again.
    • I think he's gone, and rightfully so, if he turns in another losing record. The "talented roster," regardless of how true or not, is a double-edged sword. If the roster is so much improved now from 202X then why are you still producing losing seasons? On one hand, maybe that's what needs to happen. Have the GM hire the new coach, and then have the new coach pick his guy to run his system. That is typically how it works in the NFL. Not the forced inheritance deal we have had in place.
