Be honest, how many turned the TV off before the 4th qtr

Luckily I was watching at my sons house so i didn't have anything else pulling me away from the game. It was pretty depressing on that couch most of the afternoon then suddenly we weren't using it anymore. None of us entertained the thought of changing the channel...

It's the first game I've been able to see with him this year; last year we went together to Foxboro to see us beat the last defending SB champs in their house so that was pretty cool here he is in Foxboro

who the fug watches a movie doing a football game lol, god some people are weird.

i turned to the movie becus we were down 17 nuthin in the 4th..

if we lose - i lose my entire appetite for football for the next week and don't watch ESPN or anything.. no SNF, maybe i will tune into MNF.. but I completely HATE sports the week after we lose.. so I changed it to a movie becus I didn't want to agonize for the rest of the 4th qtr.. I don't normally watch movies during Panthers games..

i thought this was pretty obvious..

Guilty. I download the game shere in S> Korea...so i can skip ahead. After a few minutes into the second quarter...i more of less skipped ahead in chunks until the game was tied at 14-17. I then skipped to the end just believing that we would not win. After seeing that we did, i went back to watch the last real quarter of Panther football..the 4th.

And its a damn shame. If out team as a whole could play even just a half...or more wishfully a whole game like we played the 4th quarter...the Patriots and their success would seem like beans! I almost wish I had never seen it, because I know i will be disappointed as the year goes on. Ppl love to poo on RR...but he is right. We don't very often play up to our potential!!

Even though they pulled out a win, nobody should be celebrating this win.  We look like s hit for 80% of the game.

We shouldn't celebrate the biggest comeback in team history.

Guess the Patriots shouldn't celebrate their last super bowl win either?  Stupid statement.

One of the many times over the last 18 years I've questioned turning the game off but kept it on because I obviously am a glutton for punishment.  Love this team and it's why I get so angry at them when they are performing badly, especially when I know we are so much more talented than that.  Still hate RR, still want him gone but I continued to watch anyway.  Glad I did obviously but will probably ponder the same thing again this week as I have no questions about us changing how we start games.

    • Canales up first. Guys got their legs back yesterday and started a little slow when they came out Bryce challenged them in the huddle and they responded "Dominant practice for the defense today." Praised turnovers, "beautiful hits," and being physical Praised Moehrig, Ransom, Incoom, and Jones II Confirmed playing starters. Predominantly a young team and can't pass up an opportunity. Emphasized game day routines such as nutrition, body readiness, etc. Plus it's a bunch of new guys on the defense. Bryce will start. Will play them the first two, but starters might sit for the third game depending on how practice goes that week. Nic Scourton has a mild hamstring that happened in special teams. DJ Johnson had an issue with his hip flare up and is getting checked out this afternoon. Experimenting with approach to preseason games. In Seattle they played their starters in all but the last preseason game and what Pete Carroll was looking for in terms of mental readiness to play football. Thomas Incoom has been getting a lot of work with AC Carter adding to his toolbelt. Getting better as a rusher and being physical in the run game. Looking for a consistency in response. 1pt for a win, 3pts for a TD. Defense doesn't like that, but in games if they give up one go ball the score can swing. They challenged the pass game and the run game today. Guys are getting together before, between, and after team drills to challenge each other Job of the coaching staff to set the foundation for our schemes, philosophy, and expectations of what it's like to play Panthers football. Powerful when players take that and the locker room owns it. That's when it becomes our team, their team. At the end of the day, the men on the field have to rebound from a bad play, celebrate the good plays, and keep each other in tune for a whole game. Robert Hunt is amazing. Size, talent, quickness, flexibility. Really intelligent guy that there will say himself there are technique things he needs to work on. Regardless of where players are at, there's a constant learning curve and loves that Big Rob is challenging himself with the position coach. Thinks the digital down and distance can be really valuable. Getting the information quickly will help with the flow of the game. Thought TMac looked great but there were some near misses that he'll have to get in the room and communicate with Bryce on while reviewing film. James Mitchell keeps doing right and his trust factor is increasing with the QBs. If you're right and the coverage says the ball goes there, it'll come. Had some issues at the start of camp but is trending up. Newton or Person: "It looked like today was beyond thud but short of live. What do you call that?" Canales: "No, that's thud. In my mind, that's what thud should look like. The challenge for our defensive guys is can you put your body in a position where we know that would've been a tackle." Whizzing by, tagging with two hands, etc doesn't show you whether you would've made a tackle. That's not real football. Let's the play extend because guys have to be ready to chase sometime where the ball squirts out from a pit. Can't train to say "Ah, it was a tackle" and relax but instead play with intensity through the whistle. Lathan Ransom is bringing the physical style of play that they saw on film. Has been really into the details and someone that they can count on. Has really given himself a chance to start at the other safety position. Excited for the extra energy from a game-like environment that they'll get from FanFest. Used to have four preseason games and now FanFest feels like that first one. Will give ST full speed reps to evaluate. Making plays and feeding off of the fans. Window closed quickly on the INT to finish practice. CSW baited Bryce with some movement and made a great play. Saw it from Bryce's perspective with TMac coming open. Has played all over the secondary that they can count on to speak loudly and be on the same page with his teammates.
