So, what will it take..

We’re gonna beat Seattle. We need to get some strong road wins. Not comebacks. Dominate from beginning to end.  As a wildcard we obviously are going to have to win on the road in the playoffs. Washington getting fired and Funchess getting benched would go a long way for this season as well. After this season is over, getting rid of Ron is the only thing that will give me confidence moving forward.

actually winning a road game without pulling out a miracle

In the short term, I would say

- Any type of win against Seattle , dont care if its ugly

- Beat the poo out of the Bucs

- Beat the poo out of the Browns

THEN , they would have a tiny ounce of my trust back going into the Saints home Monday Night game.

- Beat the Saints at home? Then I'll believe in something greater.

Seeing Curtis Samuel on the field for a majority of offensive snaps.

i refuse to believe this coaching staffs priority is winning football games as long as they have a weapon like that wasting away on the bench.

According to Ron they won’t put Samuel and Moore on the field at the same time... cuz then you gotta figure out who gets the ball

I’d be impressed if we hold Seattle under 200 rushing yards. You know Pete’s looking at the tape and can’t wait to pound the rock down our throat.

Basically I’m looking for effort, consistency. If this team can get out of the funk they’re in they can go on a run

I' m at the point that I just want Rivera gone he has stayed too long. Should have been gone 2013. He has no faith in Cam until now and that's only bc of Norv even tho Cam has been pulling miracles out of his butt for yrs. Now he throws Cam and Gano under the bus when as a coach he should stand up for his team and players and behind close doors talk to them. No accountability. U can tell he has no game awareness just stands there with arms folded while defensive players are getting held  and QB getting illegally hit. The 2pt decision was his way of saying hey look I took a risk, but what he fails to see you actually have to think and calculate the outcomes and see which is best. He is either far left or far right no no middle ground what so ever. Middle ground is where you have to think its too complicated for him. He needs a change of scenery and maybe that will help him become a better coach.

    • I do think the rating is fair given how this unit hasn’t proven it with production. I understand you have to rank off production, not potential. However, our unit is also in a position to make this rating look foolish a year from now. We have 4 guys in the WR/TE room who all could legitimately take the next step this year, and catapult our rank. A guy under a lot of people’s radar after we took Tet, Jalen Coker. Mark my words, he will become the star of this room, and be the heir to Thielen.
    • Exactly. You’d think 2-7 wins a year (in a 17 game season no less) since 2017 is going to keep us bottom tier. Every year we say the same poo like we haven’t been a bad team the past 7 years. Until we prove we aren’t a bottom dweller, that’s where we’ll stay ranked. God forbid we have OL injuries like 2016.
    • What I love and hate about this team is it’s more filled with potential breakout players than ever before. JT, XL, Coker, Smith-Wade, Ikem, Trevin… and even Bryce are all guys I could legitimately see taking the next step. But the problem with having so many of those guys is that team success somewhat relies on them taking that step, and some are bound not to. That being said, I’m cautiously optimistic given our softer schedule, the way the offense clicked late last year, and the direction we finally have at GM, coach, and QB. Could see us as a sneaky playoff team.
