Current top head coaching prospects

Campbell, DeFillippo, and Toub could all be interesting just to see what they've got and what tidbits they could bring from successful teams.  Campbell especially.  Want to beat the Saints?  Get one of their coaches who knows them inside and out.

A total Panthers move would be Fangio - - which I'm not a fan of due to age. IF we go defensive minded HC, I want Kingsbury or some college coach as OC.

The problem is Rivera should have known this

look at his current defensive coaching staff topped off by Washington

this team deserved a HC smart enough to get a seasoned DC and a personnel guy keep Byrd over a serviceable cb

now, we have a defensive set that plays 8 yards off of pro receivers.  It is absolutely ridiculous

im like, does he want to get fired.  All of it is stupid

Yeah I was talking about if we get a new coaching staff.  I wouldn't want an OC/Head Coach combo that brings in a dramatically different offensive style.  For example, I wouldn't want to see us bring in a West Coast style offense.

I do think that the defense needs a personnel overhaul.  If Rivera goes, we will have a new coordinator of course, but irt personnel, keep the young guys for the most part, but it's time for the older guys to retire.

In years past, I'd have agreed.

McCaffrey is tailor made for a WCO. So is Samuel, and a guy with Moore's YAC ability is ideal.

Throw in that one of the big needs to make a WCO work is a mobile QB. We got that. Granted, in prior years Newton wasn't an ideal WCO passer, but I think Turner has changed that.

Might need to rework the OL a little, yeah. But we probably needed to do that anyway.

I was just using that as an example.   I think CMC and Cam have both proven that they can function in various types of offenses.  IMO, for us the style is less important than execution and crunch time decision making.  I just don't want to see have to learn a new offense again next season.  I don't see any point to doing so.
