Im in the minority and not going to overreact quite yet.

Im keeping him, but doing a keep overhaul of every other staff position not named Norv Turner

GM down to the assistants.  Need a whole overhaul

Put some pressure on Ron

Jerry just about fired Ron back in like 2013.  And before the game he stood on the field and stared down Ron during warmups.  Allegedly letting him know how hot his seat was.  Afyer that game we took off

I agree with Tep its good to keep coaches.

Just maybe its time for another scare/reminder to Ron by replacing some of his staff that he is so hesitant and loyal to make a move af

I’m for keeping Rivera.

Hes not the reason our Oline is makeshift and gives up sacks and pressure at the worst times.

He didnt tip the ball for an interception or 4.

I don’t believe Rivera has much to do with what personnel is on the team, just has to make do with what he has.

I see a team that has strong talent in some areas but weak in other areas and the result is a 6-6 team. I don’t think it all falls on the head coach.

And, I think the fire Rivera crowd will likely be sitting there privately wishing he was back after seeing our team make playoffs what 5/7 years? We may fire him and see the bottom of the league for a couple years and fire that one too. What if it’s not just the head coach? There’s been a ton of turnover at positional coaching positions, our coordinators keep getting poached and then the new ownership / jerry Richardson stuff likely had some effect.

my take? Bad season, could be much worse, but give him another season.

maybe fire or demote Eric Washington/ get better position coaches.

You can't fire Hurney and keep Ron though.  That's the kind of bullshit Richardson tried to pull when he was here, and most GM candidates won't stand for it.  I'm with you on ideally Ron having a do or die year, but the GM circumstances make it impossible.

This is business. And I have no sentiment whatsoever. There were some shula Homers out there last year. We replaced him and finally started to play offense. Ron can pack his crap and gtfo.

Rivera is terrible at talent evaluation. There were answers on the roster and RR refused to use them. RR has a lot to do with who is on this team. He makes the decisions who to keep and who to let go, and I'm sure some quality talent has been released so we could keep room for vets. Can't blame him directly for the injuries, but I have to wonder if some of those injuries may have been caused by keeping lesser players on the field.

If Hurney and Ron is truly a package deal, Tepper will have to fire Hurney first so that he can get a new GM in the office to man the coaching search. So I think it'll be Hurney in 2 or so weeks, then Rivera will follow either by resigning or Black Monday.
