Side questions going back to the OP:

Who on here believes we can still make the playoffs?

Regardless of outcome, who wants to see us make the playoffs?

I don’t think we will but it’s not as far fetched as many believe around here and elsewhere...

Falcons are terrible and we’re at home with an unknown QB (no film for defenses) with a healthy arm and an improving D under Ron so I think this will be a win.

Aints win this week at home and they’ll have clinched the 1 seed and very likely rest starters against us so we’d have a decent shot that game.

Then Redskins and Eagles need to lose to Titans and Texans respectively which is likely, and after that Eagles beat Redskins which is likely.

The most far fetched is Vikings losing to Lions, but it is a divisional game and Lions have been hot and cold (beat the Pats...) so you never know. Vikes will lose their last game to Bears playing for 2 seed.

A lot needs to happen but only one outcome is unlikely. Overall it’s pretty unlikely but not like 1% or whatever people say the odds are.

I’m torn between top 10 pick and the long odds of having a miracle season and one of the best stories in sports history.

No. There's way too many things that would have to happen.

I do.

I'd love one more chance to see the Panthers play, especially if we've just pulled off two straight behind Taylor. It would be an amazing story. Taylor could turn into our version of Kurt Warner. And who knows, anything can happen in one game. A 7-9 Seahawks squad can beat an 11-5 Saints club. The defense is back to being the Carolina Panthers, and if Taylor can move the ball, maybe we even pull out an upset. How cool would a Foles like Eagles run be. We'd talk about it for decades.

I also want to win the lottery, too. I have about the same chances of either happening.

No right answer either way we split it... perfect world we want Cam to be healthy, but if doctors say he can go after the two weeks and he wants to go do you stop him?

This is an issue I don't even want to think about. I'll just take it week-by-week. Literally.

    • I don't think it was fear of the unknown because he tried to hide the extent of the injuries that made him drop. After the drop, the reports I heard were that teams knew what was wrong with his knee and it was something similar to another athlete from a few years ago (honestly don't remember if it was even a football player).  That it was basically one of those things where he should be fine for a while, there isn't a huge concern of immediate injury risk.   But what he has going on with his knee is something that is degenerative and there's little chance he'll be able to play more than 5 or so years on it before he won't be able to play anymore. So basically it was teams knowing if they draft him, he's probably going to be only a rookie contract player and even if he's great, you might not be able to get use out of him on a second contract.  Which in turn makes the drop make sense, but I'm kinda surprised some contending team didn't take him late in the 1st, hoping he'd put them over the top on a SB run but then not even have to worry about giving him a big contract in 4 years too.
    • Depends if they see the writing on the wall with their roster and contracts and decide to bite the bullet and begin a complete rebuild and roster overhaul.  I have no clue why some franchises (IE us) refuse to do this and keep half assing trying to win 8 games or so.  Do it correctly, take your lumps and build a contender.  We shall see what loomis decides.
    • Each team plays 17 games.  I do not see why they don't just have each team play one international game per year.  Neutral site game, 8 home, 8 away.
