What about the guy from Syracuse? Dude is built and legit. Would take him all day long but not a top pick. The only QB in there worth it is Grier. Finley at NC State was overrated AF.

2020 will be sooooooooooooo much better for QB's.  If Cams shoulder really is shot, and If we have to really suck next season and vie for the number 1 pick, next year is the year to do it.

Correct

Tua, Fromm, Jacon Eason (currently redshirting at Washington and was ahead of Fromm as The guy prior to going down with a injury). Herbert (who would be this years top QB), kid at Iowa is a sleeper.

+1

We had to take Clausen for a year to get Cam.

We can take Taylor for a year.

Juice is worth the squeeze.

I want no part of any of them. This could be as bad as 2013. To remind you:

Top 8 quarterbacks in the 2013 NFL Draft (as ranked February 2013 ~ so roughly the same time frame as we are looking at the 2019 draft)

  • Tyler Wilson, Arkansas. (4th round OAK)
  • Geno Smith, West Virginia. ... (2nd round NYJ)
  • Zac Dysert, Miami-Ohio. ... (7th round MIA)
  • Mike Glennon, North Carolina State. ... (3rd round TBB)
  • Matt Barkley, USC. ... (4th round PHI)
  • Ryan Nassib, Syracuse. ... (4th round NYG)
  • EJ Manuel, Florida State. ... (1st round BUF)
  • Tyler Bray, Tennessee. (Undrafted, signed with KC)

    • I wonder if they'd consider trading Rasheed Walker to a team that needs tackle help but missed out in the draft?
    • LOL. This is such a Panthers fan take.  Anyone who falls to us must suck because some other team didn't take them before.  We got lucky with Lemon, Thieneman, and Freeling all falling to us (honestly any of the three is a A+) but the WR and S positions are much deeper than the LT position in this draft.  We got the LT w/ the most upside at 19.  Mauigoa played RT in college and some think he is a guard in the nfl.  Spano played RT in college and some think he is a guard in the NFL due to short arms.  Blake Miller played RT in college and is not as good as Freeling.  Proctor is a true LT but his ability to handle quick edge's worries me (see Icky).  Freeling is a true LT and a gifted pass protector.  Many think he has a very high ceiling and will benefit from not having to start right away.  This is how you build a franchise.
    • After watching Cam get killed for years behind a bad Oline and having to watch the 2021 and 2023 Olines I will never complain about this team putting resources into that spot.  We got a true LT who could really push Rasheed Walker for the day 1 job. Go back and watch Iceky's draft profile from 2022 and all the talk was Ickey would be an all-pro guard in a zone blocking scheme, but he could play LT in a gap power run scheme. That's why Ickey looked really good when Wilks took over and we just started running gap run plays and just mauled people up front but under Canales we've been more of a zone running team. Ickey can survive at LT with his pass blocking but his true strength will always be his ability to just move guys in the run game and that's a skill set that's better used at guard.  Take another OT later on day 3 to learn from Moton to take over RT in a couple of years and let Walker and Freeling battle it out for the day 1 LT job then next offseason trade one of Hunt of Lewis and let Ickey move inside to guard.
