If this would have been a UNC football player - there would have been a front page editorial on every NC newspaper calling for an NCAA investigation and calling for Roy Williams and Mack Brown’s jobs.

Put a 6th out for sure, maybe a 5th but either way, you gotta carry him or someone will just claim him of PS. 

 

Worth more than a 5th next year, but the supplemental draft is always buy low. So if you he evals to a JAG at fs for us, go ahead and pull the trigger. We could use JAG back there and not a weakness. And 5th and 6ths are crap shoots anyways if you want JAG or rotational guys.

Man, we suddenly so stingy on what draft pick to use on a quality FS.

I am not saying shoot for the moon and bid a 2nd or 3rd.  But after all the outrage of not taking a FS in the 3rd, 4th, of this draft.  I find it amusing how much we want to lowball a guy that clearly would have been a 2-5th pick next year.

Most teams history of fourth round picks is horrible.   Depends on the metrics, but I remember seeing stats that indicate 80% of 4th round picks are out of the NFL after 3 years.  

 

He might be worth a 4th, if the issue is just some over the counter stuff.  Probably not much riskier than any other fourth round pick.

Id agree to offer a 6/7th, problem is I doubt Rivera would play him even if hes the best option. Rivera would hold out for some 35 year old wavied half way though camp and give that guy the job.

We also have no idea how our scouting department has him evaluated. He may be well worth a 4th-5th round pick to Huddlers but the front office may not think he is worth anything.

He is really small and doesn't tackle well, does not fit our defense. Expect someone like the Green Bay or Minnesota to pick him up.

lol... if you google "unc football" and select "news" for your filter.... by page 4, the headlines begin talking about APP state and UNC bball.
