DeAngelo Williams Hating on Cam Newton

Lol

Switch Cam with any QB in this league...put them behind our previous line, previous OC, previous receivers and also give them the benefit of the headshot no call treatment and see how they fair for 9 seasons.

With a live arm Cam is top 10 QB no question.

And just to mention...The last two times we made it to the post season. .

2015 ...15-1 ..  Throwing to Philly Brown and Ted Ginn....

2017 11-5...Throwing to Funchess, Bersin and Klay....

That's all you need to know.

Homers will Homer.

Cam is our QB and we hope he "balls" as SAS said.

But, you can't deny some of the stats, no matter who brought them up.  Outside of Carolina, how many fans would want to trade their QB for Cam straight up?  Tampa, yes.  But they would say that to about 30 other teams.

Here's hoping that Cam has the season and shoulder, that we are all hoping for.  But you cannot with a straight face deny that Cam has had his ups and downs.

The ONLY reason any team would think twice about trading for him is his injured shoulder. No one doubts his potential when healthy. Pat Mahomes, and of course the other HoF QBs aside most teams would love to have him. He had Steve Smith briefly and then KB (FA no one wants), Funchess (who we let walk), Philly Brown (don’t know if he is still in this league) had to become his top targets. Oh and imagine throwing to these guys (who can’t get separation) with no LT to protect your blind side. I don’t think any other QB could have got that roster to the Super Bowl in 2015. He has 17 game winning drives in 9 seasons. That over a 16 game season’s worth of game winning drives with little help on offense. If you are watching a Panthers game there is an 11% chance Cam is going to have the game winning drive that game.

Cam is great...he has gone through stretches periodically where he hasnt shown up. I dont think anyone can deny that when good Cam shows up hes unstoppable and the most dynamic athlete at that position in history. He just needs a good season where he can bring his A game week in and week out.

They can say hes only had 3 winning seasons. But he has been to the playoffs 4 times and won the division 3 years in a row.

The biggest issue last season was his shoulder...not his ability. That's more of a concern. A healthy Cam is one of the most if not the most dynamic playmaker in history...but will he stay healthy?  That's more of a legitimate argument.  We all know theres a big bullseye on that right shoulder.

Dallas, Philly, NYG - no     Washington might be your only taker but they just drafted their future?

We already discussed the NFC South with Tampa being the only yes.

Chicago, GB, Detroit- no   Minny might

Seattle, LA, San Fran and AZ, all no

NE, Buffalo - no   Miami and Jets might be interested

Pitt, Cleveland and Baltimore -no    Cincy might

Texas, Tennessee and Jax  - no   Indy might, but who in the right mind in Carolina would want the Geico caveman

Denver, KC, San Diego - no  Oakland, who knows what Gruden might do.

I count maybe 25% of the league willing to switch.  Take off Homer glasses and pretend you live in Nebraska or something for a few mins.  Everyone thinks their kid is the cutest in the class, but for outsiders, meh

just because you say “no” doesn’t make it true.

In a vacuum you are freaking joking if you think that Buffalo and San Francisco wouldn't trade Josh Allen or Jimmy Garoppolo for Cam.

The thing is though we live in the real world where there are jobs and egos on the line.  SF paid dearly for Garoppolo and Allen is considered the future of the Bills.  If either of those FOs cut and ran like that they'd look stupid as poo.
