Eric Reid gettin' tested...

Happy Panther

You know, it isn't fair, but sometimes playing the game is about more than just what is on the field. Pee in the cup, smile, stay clean and cash great big checks while still working on the social justice issues (because those really do matter).

And when it is all said and done, you can say, I was the good guy, I played clean, I was there for my team and stayed true to what was important.

Seems like he's doing it and hats off to him. Endure, withstand and overcome.

“If you are clean, you have nothing to worry about”

Easy for those to say who don’t have to constantly get tested, or who isn’t constantly messed with. At some point you have to speak on the wrong done to you.

Anyways, Eric is looking good.

Like when the cops say if you have nothing to hide, why can’t I search your car? FOH with that mess.

Yep, that mess is cool once or twice, but you keep pulling me over and keep getting proven there’s nothing being done wrong, then something’s up.

Most the ones who spout that just don’t know, and don’t understand. If they were constantly being accused of something or constantly asked to be tested, they’d have a problem with it too. They’d also speak with someone about it, whether it’s their significant other or someone who could actually do something about it.

Tough poo. It's the price you pay for being a millionaire.

Y’all really hate millionaires, and people who make a lot of money. Well, lemme take that back. It’s just certain millionaires and high dollar earners that get this “tough poo” treatment.

Anyways..

    • Ravens mixing it up with a random Mark Andrew tush push last year isn't a similar situation.  Lamar has run QB sneaks his entire career.  And often instead of a traditional sneak will even employ a 4th and 1 direct snap to Lamar simply because of how athletic he is (which even Cam did a lot of) and let him pick his own holes.
    • height being an issue doesn't just mean batted balls.  You could argue Bryce minimizes batted balls by adopting other poor habits such as his jump passing and leaving the pocket.   As I said, there are plays you can point to where he clearly was blind to parts of the field/players....which kills plays and opportunity. Which actually means some of the shorter/hot throws when things break down are where his vision gets blocked (and he had below average production all around the line of scrimmage).   has he figured it out? I mean, he improved off a trainwreck start.  But Bryce Young since arriving in the league (even while figuring it out)......doesn't generate much offensive production vs his peers.  I just think his ceiling is low.   And that's not in the grand scheme what you want in the NFL.  I think he can develop into a serviceable QB, that will largely always been a middle of the pack or low end starter.
    • People make a lot of noise about his footwork and I think it is overblown. Whether he takes 3 steps backwards or 5 small steps doesn't matter as long as he ends up at the right depth and is in sync with  the receiver regarding timing. If he does that consistently who cares as long as he has a firm stable base as he delivers the ball. Which he does need to work on. However even that is somewhat overblown given that often QBs have to throw off balance or from different arm angles to fit the ball around defenders. He is considered very accurate so apparently it isn't hurting him that much.
