Even if he was the first pick overall its still just his 4th game,  first training camp,  first time in the offense

preseason  brings out overreactions both ways

Yeah, but both really go on the same premise, and change my mind pushed the popularity of the whole >insert statement with no backing that someone else has to show evidence to disagree with" mentality.  Just sorta seems silly.

Cam Newton was 6/19 in his third preseason game. 

He was the no. 1 pick of the 2011 NFL Draft. Cam Newton is a former NFL MVP and led his team to 15-1 in 2015.

Will Grier is fine. He needs to develop.

The general play of the backup QBs is proof they needed to address the position. Marty drafted a late 3rd/early 4th round QB to do just that. We've gotta give him more than 1 preseason before writing him off. 

Cam looked trash his first preseason, and turned it on once the games counted and there was a real plan to attack defenses.

If Grier ends with up broken fingernail that will put him on IR where does that put him with the team in terms of practice?   I definitely do not want to see him near the field this year but he will need practice reps. To me Allen and Heinicke are the backups.
