The is the Coaching staff, Cam and the O-line, mostly LT.

Bad game planning

Bad player personal

Bad game management

Bad player development

= Bad team

We had a billion chance to run away with that game.  Yeah, they bottled up the run but that happens.  The play calling in the pass game was there all game.  Cam just couldn’t hit any of the them and when he did he prevented them from maximizing the potential of the play.

It mostly is on Cam.

But Ron’s time is coming soon enough

Said it elsewhere. Bowles' game plan was to sell out to stop McCaffrey and take their chances that nobody else could beat them.

It worked.

I'm honestly not sure if our offensive coaches recognized what was going on. If they had, it would have made perfect sense to use McCaffrey as a decoy and run Newton or somebody else on that final play.

Ugh!

Im not sure they had that option. One. Thing is for sure we could have used Scarlett to at least losen up the run game. McCaffrey is dynamic but not when he's the focus of the defense.

this will be the default game plan for now on. The entire season now rests on Cams ability to make teams respect his arm.

I suspect it will be a long sad year.

Well said! I mean WTF was that play design? We needed what, 1 or 2 yards? It was so clear that the defense was not fooled by that stupid look. I really don't even know what to say with that play design. Why not line up traditional, play action and roll Cam out? I'd bet the freaking house he would have gotten that 2 yards. As big of a situation and moment as it was, the Panthers coaching staff absolutely sh*t the bed on that play.....Just no excuse for us to get that close AT HOME and come up short. This has to be the most snake bitten team I have ever seen!... SMH

    • Any idea what happened to him at LSU? im reading that he was considered a 1st round pick in 2023, had an off 2024 season with only 4 sacks but was also on a horrible FSU team then went to LSU where he was supposed to be on an aggressive defense that should have given him a lot of sacks but he only ended up with one….   was he injured? Did the top SEC competition expose him? What happened? Cause this guy was considered a top prospect .
    • Sometimes its fun to read the threads/posts.  The panthers could literally hire a groundskeeper and we'd have a thread "improving the field for no other reason to prop up Bryce Young".  Apparently no move is ever done to actually make the team better.  All a conspiracy to just focus on Bryce Young. Or suddenly daydreaming and reminiscing about Sam Darnold when he was hated more than Bryce Young.  Its really fun to do a message board search about Darnold during that time period.   Or thinking there is just a tree that grows QB, and you can just easily go up and pluck one.
    • Yeah okay. We as an organization have been more patient with him than many. And there has been a small parade of guys drafted since he was, also to bad teams, that have passed him. Some have lapped him. As a fan I am out of patience but he gets this year it is out of my hands always has been. I just hope the bar is higher than it has been for him.    FWIW, XL dropped two passes last year. He did do some other bad stuff, just saying.
