I suspect Houston will try to take away a lot of the right, force Allen to throw left on Sunday.

My questions are,

1.  Does Allen just like passing to the right side of the field?

or;

2.  Does Allen choose to pass to an open receiver and on Sunday, they were mostly on the right side of the field?

Somehow I think he just found open receivers (7 different ones per the stat sheet).  I didn't see any glaring weaknesses in his throwing.  I don't think anyone can assume stacking the right side will reduce the passing attack.  Also, 3 of the 4 TDs came from the left side...

He rolls out to the right when under pressure and won't throw across his body. That accounts for at least 3 of those throws

So nobody knew right handed QBs mostly throw to thier right??

Guess what guyz, left handed QBs will favor their left too!!

Cam has always leaned to the left side on the passing charts.  His signature spin when pressured is to spin to the left side as well

A QB whose mechanics and decision making stay sound when under pressure!?!?!  That's an option!?!?

(I know, I know, 2 games.)  Still.

    • This is a toughie because I wonder what a guy like Canales thinks about redemption stories for addiction issues. Also, I think this is a case of 1 player getting caught, and not being naive enough to think this isn't more common in college than we think. I'd toss a 3rd rounder out there. 2026 is essentially a redshirt season regardless, so he's not taking over for any NFL QB next year. Best case, he's ready to go in 2027 if we pass on Bryce's extension. Worst case, he's our future backup QB2. Kid has the tools to be an NFL QB. I do think we could somehow land a '26 3rd round pick back in a trade. Our past years' third rounders are: Brazzell Princely Wallace DJ Johnson Matt Corral All this to say, I could see a team like the Jets going w/ a 2nd. They have three FRPs next year.
    • Alright man! We're here for it! Just glad you're keeping the doors open!
    • I think we've seen improvement in Bryce's performance. It still isn't up to world beater status, but in Canales defense, he can say that the limitations of the player were hit. I think he survives that even if Bryce doesn't. Still, I think it's a 50/50 shot for Bryce to make it. QB is one of the toughest jobs to do in the sports world, if not the most, so the failure rate is really high, no matter the pedigree. Heck, Archie Manning gets a lot of credit as a great QB but anyone who saw his career in motion knows he wasn't really that good and he was surrounded by bottom of the bowl players. He did get it figured out with his sons, though. That grandson... maybe.
