With CMC doing the things hes doing, we could definitely win a playoff game.  Even more so with some of the injured guys on D back.   And Allen has potential, despite today's less than stellar performance.

Very true but we are not throwing the ball well at all. Cam is an upgrade over Allen when healthy and we need what he brings to the table in order to compete in the playoffs. If our goal is to try to run CMC to death and win a wild card game I can see it, but no way we are going deep with Allen at QB and competing for a super bowl. We need Cam back for that.

Here's it in a nutshell. QB awareness. Allen or Cam? Cam. I trust Cam with better pocket awareness. Accuracy. Allen or Cam? Allen for now. A healthy Cam is more lethal than Allen. Scrambling. Not even a question. We need Cam back. Im not saying Allen is a scrub he has managed and done well and taken what has came to him. But only 1 of the 3 games we played can we say he has done it with his arm. I think Cam will be back after the bye or after Tennessee. He should be practicing again the week of the bye. Bring him back slowly. Let him practice throwing in place with nothing but hip rotation and movement. Slowly increase his work load from bye week and let Allen play against the 49ers and see what he does the week of the Titans.

True I think our line is good enough to win games including the playoffs. Yesterday’s performance was very impressive with two key starters out, one arguably our best linemen. I believe we have all the pieces in place and a healthy Cam will put us over the top. Last time Cam won a playoff game was 4 years ago. In 2017 we were one and done with Newton. And this year with a less than 100% Cam with all this talent we were 0-2. So before we talk about needing Cam for the playoffs, let's see what the new healthy Cam plays like. If he returns to his old self and can run and pass with good accuracy then yeah we need that guy. But if he can't run, his passing is going to need to  get much better and consistent.

Playoffs? Jesus Christ!!!! If Allen gets us to the playoffs despite the excuses we allow Cam, then you're definitely not a Panthers fan. And yes football is a team sport, 52 dudes don't ride 1 guys coattails to glory. Ever thought for a second,  that those guys respond to a team concept?

I wouldn’t go that far.  This team just needs to continue to improve.  We have a lot of young guys take the field each week who will hopefully only get better as the season goes on.  Getting Little, Turner and Jackson back will also be huge.  
 

Trent Dilfer won a superbowl for goodness sakes....Allen can certainly lead this team to playoff wins if we play solid team football.
