Curtis Samuel needs more touches

Why not? Are we sure he ran the correct route? I take your point on the PI that's fair. My point is all I ever hear on Samuel is excuses.  He is considered a #2 receiver but his output is exceeded by a guy who was just traded for a 2021 5th round pick  It's projection. It's amazing that he gets so many passes from this fanbase.

Uhm, wait, did you watch that game yes or no? Balls were'nt even close. 35% of his passes were rated uncatchable.

And youre embarrassing yourself with this Zay Jones comparison lol.

I did. They were uncatchable. Did you read my comment when i asked if he had run the correct route or that he made the break at the right time? Are you certain that he did? Of course not anymore than I am. But you're happy to put it all on the rookie- yeah lets blame everyone but Curtis.

So the answer is to throw it to him more? What a genius idea.

How am i embarrasing myself with the Zay comparison? Would you care to tell me? It is a straight fact that last year Zay Jones caught more TDS and gained more yards and despite this was run out of town to the delight of the fanbase for next to nothing. Meanwhile in Carolina we continue to accept that Samuel is the unchallenged #2. So what I'm saying is that Buffalo wanted more from a guy who was doing significantly better than Samuel. But after a 2 and a half year sample size, Panthers fans are still happily annointing Samuel #2 based on the fact that he looks dynamic.

Our #1 and #2 receivers have combined for a whopping 2 TDs. It doesn't bother you at all that we have no red zone threat outside CMC and the soon to be retired Olsen? I guess you have fairly limited expectations of #2 WR. Obviously Kyle Allen has made some bad throws. Newsflash- that's going to continue. Doing more of what hasn't worked up till now seems like a very RR type thing.

We seem to be getting the ball to the open man the majority of the time, whoever it is. That's how you win games rather than trying to feed a narrative.

It ends up going to CMC the most because of the nature of how he is used in plays, the fact he can pick his spots often as he moves out post chip-block, and the fact that the guy has some of the best catching hands in the entire NFL -- not just for a RB but for any receiver as well.

Sit back, enjoy, cheer and everyone will be fed before it all finishes out in February.

Good point. On every play there is a primary and secondary receiver. If Samuel is primary but you have their best corner on him with help over the top, do you throw into double coverage or find the guy open or in single coverage. You take what the defense gives you.

With Allen at QB and Norv as OC I’m almost accepting the fact both Moore and Samuel will be underutilized. Norv is obsessed with Mccaffrey to the point he has him throwing the ball just to fill his stat sheet and Allen is a one read QB.

Allen has 4 games under his belt.  Calling him a one read QB isn’t a knock.

and if you listen to a HOFer who played in Norv’s system breakdown Norv’s offense? The ball is suppose to come out almost as soon as you finish your drop most of the time

Besides a healthy OL, I think this team needs a vet WR. A legit one, trade-deadline should offer a few to pick form. Moore and Samuel are very young, youngest starting WRs by far. Sanders, Diggs, or Green would be nice, but cost too much.

No pro offense is supposed to run on one read. And no pro QB should be a one read QB.

Now come on Goob. You know perfectly well there are plenty of calls that are designed to hit your back foot and throw. Hellz bellz, we all complain that Ron lets team dink and dunk us. What are all those plays but one read and throw.

Now I do agree that no NFL QB should be a one read QB.

depends on how someone defines someone being a one read QB

Norv has been running offense for a long time.   There is a reason Cam’s best completion percentage came under his one full year under Norv.  There is a reason Allen has decent stats.  Norv’s offense.

A lot of what Norv asks of his QBs can be perceived as a QB being a one read and check it down QB.   He asked Aikman to do it.  He asked Cam to do it.  He will ask Allen to do it.

Theirs only one definition of being a one read QB. You throw it to your first read....

Also Norv hasn’t been running the same offense for a long time, this is really the first time Norv has embraced a more dink and dunk offense. Go ask Vikings fans about his famous 7 step drops.
