Not sure about contract but I’d say he is a hall of honor lock for sure

and somehow he's starting to bring it off the practice field.  really happy for the guy and finally for us.

At this point he's earning more reps through the rest of the season to build his case for a resign. Would love to see him become a meaningful contributor on a regular basis. We will have Short and Poe back next year regardless, if Big Vern can prove he's capable, that would let us focus on other needs in the draft this year.

It just goes to show what many have said about great coaches and blah coaches.

its all about putting players in their best positions and not being a square.

Butler has looked like trash because our other DC have put him in bad positions.

hes playing where he’s best and now he’s having fun and it shows.

Rivera— great DC

    • nah just get rid of the lottery and make it like the NFL. On the organizational level tanking already exists and scrapping the lottery wouldn't make it any worse. On the coaching/player level tanking does not exist and never will. The lottery system is dumb as fug.
    • Honestly just glancing at those numbers, I’m just happy about the attempts. Looks like he was on par with Baker who is known to push the ball down field. I hope this trend continues and really opens up our whole offense.  Side note, Penix only having 13 attempts and most were probably against our 3rd stringers that last game should exclude him IMO.
    • Hunt and Lewis were two big swings we hit big on. Credit where it's due. We have Icky on the left and Moton holding down the right and our interior depth is solid. Unfortunately Center looms large. If we are to rewind back to just a few years ago things were pretty damn dicey at that position. While they have improved we are basically hinging the development of the offense this season on Cade Mays because at this point it's only a matter of when not if Corbett misses some time.
