But but but... da Allen is winning da games.. means he's really good right?

He moves the ball and apart from one game hasn’t made the critical mistakes. It’s complimentary football. I’d like to see the O perform a bit better considering we’ve played pretty poor pass defenses.

Faulty stats again - based on yards per game. The Panthers have scored 125 points in the four games since Cam has been hurt. Certainly, the defense has been responsible for putting them in position to score (and then scoring some themselves), but the offense has been efficient enough to capitalize on their opportunities.

And occasionally toss in a 99-yard drive.

So, it shouldn't be a surprise that teams with a good defense get a shorter field and have less reliance on the offense to gain those yards.

I like the way the defense has played.

But our scoring defense is not where we'd like it to be.  unless you play fantasy football, yards you give up rushing passing etc mean nothing..  POINTS you give up are still what matters..  22 a game.   14th in the league.

The better  teams with leads , and yes we've had them,  are still  making stops ..  Our game with the Texans was awesome, but we had a 6 point lead and couldn't give an inch

Pass defense is our strength. 9th in passing yds allowed. Our issue is rushing defense where we are 21st.

That goes back to the Ron Rivera lack of killer instinct this team has had since day 1.

To be fair, it's not something exclusive to Ron. Many teams have this same issue.

6 fumbles isn't critical mistakes? Those are as good as ints in my eyes.

Every winning/postseason year outside of 2015 Ron Rivera has had....has been driven by the defense.  So you can say that about 75% of the seasons Cam has gone to the postseason too.

    • Having trouble finding all these articles saying the Raiders withheld information. Here’s the latest from Crosby’s surgeon: ElAttrache told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Wednesday morning that Crosby was "doing very well in the early part of his rehab and recovery from surgery to treat a significant meniscus tear and the related stress injury to the bone and cartilage in his knee. He is certainly on track in his planned program." "We truly respect the work of the Ravens' staff with Maxx regarding the contract physical exam. We also understand the challenge the staff faces when tasked to provide a future risk assessment based on an evaluation early in the recovery process," ElAttrache said. "This is especially challenging when dealing with an elite player like Maxx considering the level of commitment necessary for a team to obtain him. The timing of this assessment is unfortunate because the apparent risk will lessen as his recovery progresses and his return to performance over the next few months becomes clear."     So the Ravens excuse is the future risk assessment based on the physical, not that the Raiders withheld information. They found an excuse to save face publicly. They had the right to cancel the trade for no reason at all, but they’re trying to save face with the most acceptable reasoning they can find. I’ve heard and seen the Ravens getting dragged everywhere for this. You know what would be an easy way to put a stop to that if you’re the Ravens and the Raiders were actually the shady ones withholding information? Just come out and say that you were not given all the medical information. But they aren’t saying that. I guess they’re just taking the bullet for the Raiders just because?    Speculation indeed.
    • Two first round picks for a guy with very questionable knees who will be 29 this summer. Yes it is safe to say the Ravens got cold feet.
    • The salary cap is the reason we got Phillips and Lloyd
