Be Aware: Reid could cost us this game

Nobody should ever, at any time, think Reid is a teammate.  He is not.  he is a loner wearing the same uniform that 52 others wear.

And you base this assertion on...what exactly? Your deep intimate knowledge of the social workings of the Panthers locker room based on all the time you've spent there?

The default assumption would be the opposite, since the bonds of teammwork is very much a key ingredient in success at the NFL level. Given how this franchise is known to emphasize the importance of a positive locker room and has removed players who were talented on the field but not what they wanted in the locker room, it would be prudent to assume that if Reid were a loner, then the behavior of his teammates in public might give some indication of this. Can you point to any such indications? Further since the franchise has made no move to remove him, but in fact extended his contract after last year's trial run with the team, can you provide a compelling case that reasonable observers should not come to the opposite conclusion?

Reid is a teammate, and the others on the team see him as that.

eh agree to disagree. he's not a teammate, he's a leader. the others look to him as the captain of the defense and while Cam is out, the captain of the Panthers.

Hmm, I wonder why a thread like this wasn’t made about Gerald McCoy before playing the Buccaneers?

Because Gerald McCoy is known to be a leader and a pretty good guy with no issues. Reid has admitted to being angry all the time at the world essentially and lets personal matters cloud his judgement.

Reid is a teammate. But I also think Reid has personal agendas especially with the team that fired him. My whole point is I hope Reid plays with a chip but doesnt get into his own personal feels to cost us and make a late hit on someone he felt had a problem with his view. We dont know what happened in the locker room taking a knee and what backlash happened in the locker itself. I hope he balls out but just knowing how he sometimes dives too late for a hit. I dont think he is a dirty player. There is a difference between Burfict and Reid. But I think sometime someone who can do extra at times with a chip can cost 15yds of field and give up 7 instead of 0 or 3.

Think to counter his wild statement you might of gone a little wild too.

I mean, Luke Kuechly?  I’d probably throw McCoy up there between them too.

    • there is one common denominator in the 2003 & 2015 Carolina Panthers teams they both had ELITE top tier Qb play.  it would require a MVP type of season from Bryce Young to have the same type of success that Jake Delhomme had in  2003 & or Cam Newton in 2015 & lead this team to a SuperBowl is this going to happen or is there any reason to believe Bryce Young is capable of playing similar to Jake Delhomme in 2003 or Cam Newton in 2015 ? well no there is no absolutely NO reason whatsoever to believe that this is going to happen in 2026 ..just saying
    • I'd actually like to see Cherelus get a fair shot to win the job in camp. Wallace is decent in drop zone coverage, but he gets abused in the play action game and is often times out of position in the run game. It might just be me, but I swear every time I watch Wallace play, I see multiple plays a game were it looks like he's just trying to be blocked. Watching Cherelus last year he at least looked like he was trying to hit someone on every play. Wallace plays like a LB who doesn't trust what he sees and it makes him passive and cautious versus Cherelus who regardless of if his decision is right or wrong goes at it 100%.
    • Agreed.  Hasn’t happened to me either, but I feel very strongly about it.  That’s not just one of the worst things a woman could do to a man, it’s a power inherent to only women and is one of the worst things a HUMAN being can do to another.  A man can’t “hide” a pregnancy or maternity.  It’s impossible.  And that sucks for anyone that has to go through that. I always got a weird vibe off her and just found her very unlikeable.  Annoying even.  I’ve always been good at reading people and there was just something about her to me that was off-putting, somewhere under the surface.  And here we are…  she is despicable.
