I would assume that as long as there has not been a change in his practice status that he is still in the protocol

He’s been working on the side for the last week which means he is at the final step before getting out of the protocol. I suspect he will be cleared next week assuming he does well the rest of the week.

Even after he clears I wouldn’t expect to see him active the first week.

Good one, but this is a 22 year old kid who has received 2 concussions in as many games during his start to his professional career. I feel for the kid. 

Head injuries aren't a joke.
