Injury Updates (They're not good)

Little is a rookie. Daley is a rookie. And they're going to be tested often. I don't know what you guys expect when you have a rookie LT playing with Daryl Williams as LG. It went as well as it could whether good or bad. If Van Roten can't go and Little can, hopefully we'll see Little as LT and Daley as LG next game.

Little looks horrifically bad lately, sort of like some of us were worried he would. That's not good news and it's really starting to look like we may have thrown away a golden opportunity in last years draft having 4 picks from 47 to 115 and possibly getting nothing good out of that. 1st round or bust is no way to build a team. It's early, but people were crowing about the last two drafts and it's not looking good past round 1. Heck, 2017 starting to look way worse too.

Yeah, I disliked the pick and hated the trade up but his early success gave me hope. I'll hope that his recent struggles are just rush from missing significant time with the concussion issues.

    • Bryce and Dave will determine how many games this team wins next year. It’s not on the WRs. The RBs. LBs. This is about 2 things: 1. Can Bryce continue to come up big in the few key downs that decide most games?  2. Can Canales evolve his play calling to counter punch like the big boys do. Half time adjustments.  teams that score 30+ points on the regular win more games than not. That’s on Bryce and Dave. The offense is top 10 at every position group, save for TE and QB. A baller TE is gravy but not crucial when the receivers are dudes.  The defense is the defense. It’ll be better this season, hopefully by a large margin, but Dave/Bryce is really where it’s at.
    • Normally I'd wholeheartedly agree with this. But I feel like teams figured out this offense after the Raiders game. Bryce was so inept the first 2 games that we couldn't really even run the offense. Dalton's first game showed what we had. But after that game, coverages got a lot tighter and windows were smaller. When Bryce came back in, his ability to extend plays made a big difference. It's really difficult to stop a QB that can beat/escape 1on1 tacklers. It puts a lot of pressure on the defense when you blitz. And he was completing throws in tight coverage with anticipation. Point being Bryce wasn't throwing to wide open receivers that were schemed open by the offense. Occasionally yes. But not often.
    • With the additions we've made to our roster combined with the state of the division and the conference as a whole there is no excuse for this team not to make a legitimate push for 8-9 wins. Anything less is honestly inexcusable. There will be no more free passes for being a doormat in this iteration of the league where even mediocre teams are competing for playoff spots.
