the first 2 could very well happen.

Tepper has failed my expectations so far but I expect that a 12 billion net worth man would be the one to make a McDaniels kind of hiring. McDaniels isn’t my favorite but he is a safe pick due to his pedigree and accomplishments as an OC. McDaniels is probably the reason why this hiring process seems to be so slow. Tepper can’t interview him until the Pats are out of the playoff. If Tepper wanted McCarthy then the guy would’ve been hired already.

1. Add quality in trenches and a playmaker for CAM

2. RB - Jay Ajayi - nice backup to CMC on a cheap 1 yr deal

WR - AJ Green and Robbie Anderson

TE - Hunter Henry

OT - Jason Peters/Whitworth 1 yr cheapish deal and draft Wirfs/Thomas

DT - Leonard Williams to pair with KK/Poe/McCoy

DE - Resign Addison and get Yannick Ngakoue. These two along with Burns would be exciting.

3. Get rid of most except McCoy, Bradberry, Boston, Van Roten and Addison.

QB - Colin Kaepernick (for Cam Newton insurance, in case he's not ready, give him an entire training camp to learn our new system).

WR - Damiere Byrd (we need a home run threat, and Byrd has been underutilized his entire career and has tremendous talent)

Brandon shereff from Washington would be a great guard to sign, but likely too costly. As of now, the most likely draft outcome for us is Derrick brown + corner in the second. So we’ll need to get a starting LG from somewhere

Joe Thuney from the Patriots would be slightly cheaper and almost just as good

this forum overrates the fug out of ian thomas. i hope TE is a top priority - greg's production is going to be essential to replace.

I see very little discussed because we’ve seen very little. People bash his blocking and have commended his catching. We DEFINITIVELY  need an all around 3-down TE with Greg gone.

I think this years fa can line up the draft pretty well for us.

i’d resign our back guys like Elliot and cockrell, as far as starters I’d go with mainly McCoy, Boston, and Addison. Butler maybe in consideration depending the price

bradberry is a toss up, depends on what he’s asking for which he said top 5 cb money, well I wouldn’t sign him for that.

gotta grab a backup qb, so case keenum or aj McCarron come on down.

te I’d take a look at Henry or Hooper, falcons shouldn’t have enough cap to resign Hooper. Also I wouldn’t be surprise if we just let Ian get the start, this would allow us to maybe go after a better bradberry replacement, a guy like Byron jones or another vet cb

dt I’d strongly consider suh, him, McCoy and kk would be enough to get interior push consistently.

wr I’d pick up Pharoh cooper , specifically for return duty.

og I’d have a look at Brandon schreff

gonna be hard to call for any other edge or 3-4 guys until we get a coach and know what base defense they are going to run.

Sets us up imo to go bpa, which in order could be ot,cb,s,WR, dt

I like this analysis--do not understand the love for McCoy--statistically, he robbed us.  I disagree with a lot of points, but you explain your reasoning.

Bolster the OL and DL.

New targets would be a veteran OT/OG. Basically take some heat off the draft for rebuilding that OL and build some better depth there. Add a veteran WR, as well.

I'd bring back that same group of guys. Bradberry, Addison, McCoy, Cockrell and Boston. That is provided they aren't going to nuke the cap.

I would rather build OL through the draft, seems we always get burned by vet O Linemen
