I read that article a while back and always remember it. Key parts are the philosophical differences  and the fact his dad never coached in the Walsh tree. He only  It's pretty specific in explaining how they are different in their intent.

Mike was a coordinator long before he played that roll in SF and developed his offense completely separate from SF or anyone related to Walsh.

You are right about Mahomes, but the forty niners do have one advantage in that they are one of the best at getting pressure without blitzing.
