Bashaud Breeland gets the last laugh.

It was a weird situation with him. He failed his physical so I don’t know what else we should’ve done. Glad for him he got healthy and got a shot and has excelled in it. Though, yes, it would’ve been nice to see him in black and blue.

Yeah honestly I don’t give a poo about him getting a ring or not. Good for him I guess? I had forgotten all about this guy until I saw his name today. Bottom line is he hurt himself off the field and tried to cover up the injury so he could still cash in with the panthers. Dishonest and shady.

We probably could have waited on him, put him on PUP or IR or something, but it didn't really make a whole lot of sense at the time and I agreed with the ultimate decision.

Truthfully though, it's probably fair to say he "got the last laugh". Could also say Harrison Butker did too.

I texted my buddy “good thing we didn’t keep that scrub” after his big stop early in the game. Then he turns around the has an int int the super bowl. Clearly his foot wasn’t so fuged up that other teams couldn’t sign him. Maybe more and indictment on the medical staff than the GM? Idk. But good for him none the less.

    • Doubling tripling and quadrupling down on this subject in defense of the pick is reminiscent of a certain mindset that has overtaken the political world. This conversation will become less contentious and dragged out to the point of becoming a dead beaten horse if rational minds can simply agree that we made a mistake missed on a potential franchise center and we will learn from it. All this coping is unnecessary.
    • Here in lies the rub that the supporting posters continue to ignore. He wasn’t a 2nd round pick in the 2025 class, especially with an ACL tear. It was a dumb pick for any GM who looks ahead to determine values. C and CB were much better values than an injured RB in 2024. If a RB isn’t even playing much in 2024, you have to compare him to 2025. We’re beating a dead horse but only because the defense of the pick is almost comical at this point. We’ve made a ton of poo picks and moves/non trades while Morgan was GM and the assistant GM. It happens, we don’t have to jump through hoops to act like we just had some really bad luck. The 2025 draft class is unknown so far but damn it felt way better afterwards for the first time in a long time. Embrace the potential and stop stamping guaranteed on the box of poo of the 2018-2024 drafts. We are were we aware because of them and 2025 has to hit so we can get past the 7 win max in 7 year hurdle. Also, “flashed his talent” isn’t 9 carries for 22 yards. His one reception for 18 yards isn’t a flash with 11 other touches for 27 yards. He hasn’t proven anything. We have no idea if he’ll contribute in 2026.
    • Oh for those tired of the Mannings I have bad news, Peytons son Marshal already has college teams after him and he isn't even in HS until this fall...   I'd wager we have two Mannings in the NFL in 2030
