The Panthers need to do what ever it takes to draft Denzel Mims

He won't be there in the second round.

Jeudy at 7

We are not taken a WR with the #7 pick. We taking Simmons or Brown whoever is available of the 2. Not much else to discuss, unless we plan on trading up for a QB.

Brown had a bad combine.  I think he falls.  If we still like him we should trade back IMO

Brett Kollmann is really insightful.  The way he breaks down player strengths is really interesting to watch.

I'd love to get Mims in the draft.  He's got talent, and the smarts to make plays.  No problems there.  Not at 7, but if we end up trading down and picking up a high 2nd pick, I have no problem snapping him up.

Again people keep ignoring

We're going to be running 3 WR 1 TE NOT the 2 TE 2 WR sets Rivera ran

So ill repeat we'll run

1 TE: Ian Thomas AND Manhurtz under contract

3 WR: Moore, Samuel, and.........?

WR is actually the bigger need.  People just assume just because Olsen left that we need a TE.

I'm not sold on Ian Thomas yet. Not at all.

He wasn't exactly pushing for that number one spot and didn't make a blip on the radar at any point when Greg was out over the last couple of years. Just sayin'...

I love the guy.. Everything I see on him looks like a Mike Thomas clone.. He checks off so many boxes and I wouldn't have any reservations if he was the pick in the 2nd.. But we have so many holes on the defense now..

Please don’t ever give Hurney the option of “whatever it takes”.  That outcome will not be in our favor.

We trade up from #7 in the 2nd to #6 by giving up next years 1st and 2nd, this years 2nd, CMC, Cam Newton, Burns, and throw in Moore just to make sure the deal goes through.

I dont expect him to go before our 2nd pick.  This WR class is just insane.

But id absolutely love to grab this kid.

A WR is going to be Olsen's replacement, people keep ignoring.

Joe Bradys offense is going to be 3WR 1 TE sets.  Not 2 and 2 what Rivera ran.

We have Moore and Samuel (injured prone and going into last year on deal) and thats IT at WR.

Im not on board drafting a WR rd 1.  But rd 2 and on im fine.  We just need talent Period.  You dont pass on a DJ level talent at WR in the 2nd just because we have other holes.

I concur, he had the best 3-cone out of everyone too. His combine is a copy of Juilo Jones at the same size too. Best WR class and all, he did his best to show the teams in the late 1st hes more than worthy. Having a top five combine will do that.

    • I have never seen this cat play a single snap of football, BUT, I really hope that we're not counting on a 25 yo, UDFA who played 6 years of college ball to suddenly replace our starting LB.  Sounds to me like Dean Jones needed a story and didn't have anything else to write about. Wishing the guy luck though, cool nickname.
    • I'll go 1 further than that. This 23 year old had spent 4 years as a middle of the pack college player before exploding onto the scene as a 5th year senior, then we have enough faith in him to trade up 1 spot so that we can get a 5th year option and guarantee his salary. So in about a year's time he went from a mid round pick to a first rounder. It would be hard NOT to let that go to your head! I'm going to trust that the staff know what they're doing with XL and not give him too much crap about being a dumbass LAST season, as long as he doesn't continue to be one.
    • From Brugler's scouting report... Tavareon “Bam” Martin-Scott picked up his nickname because of the fireworks celebration he typically receives to celebrate his birthday. He grew up playing pee wee football in Fort Wayne, Ind., but developed late and was mostly a part-time player until his senior year at Snider High (alma mater of Jessie Bates). He posted 87 tackles and 6.0 sacks as a senior in 2018, but it wasn’t enough to put him on the recruiting radar. A no-star recruit, he played two seasons with Dodge City (Kan.) Community College and then received several SEC offers. His playing time and production gradually increased each season for the Gamecocks, and he put intriguing flashes on film. Martin-Scott is a good-sized athlete, with pursuit speed to match races to the perimeter. He competes with a banger mentality to pinball off blocks and stay determined on his path to the ball. Overall, Martin-Scott freelances a tad too much with inconsistent steps in coverage, but he is a classic run-and-hit linebacker who likes to play loose and chase plays — necessary ingredients for NFL special teams. grade: Free Agent
