Who are you supposed to believe when doctors are being instructed to list deaths as covid when they're not dying from covid? This whole thing is fuged, that's why nobody knows who, or what, to believe!

yes comrade brother.  this.

Gotta love how people of a certain delusion will cling to the opinions of a tiny percentage of doctors and say, "See! A doctor said it!" while ignoring the reality that the vast majority of doctors are of a far different opinion. And in this case, it's a doctor with a huge political motive being that he's a sitting senator. But, really... it's everyone else who is politicizing this. Good grief.

Just curious, what are YOU GUYS who keep bringing up that the death count isn't accurate trying to prove? What are YOU GUYS who say masks are totally ineffective trying to prove? What are YOU GUYS who think this whole thing is BS trying to prove?

Really, do tell. What is your main point?

You and your fellow dumbasses were the ones who listened to the politicization. Virtually no actual medical professionals agree with your side. Stop listening to the politicians and start listening to the medical professionals.

You do realize you and I are on the same side and have been. You asked a question and I gave you an answer you don't like. You are however ignoring the fact that millions are listening to politicians on both sides who are using this as a power play instead of trying to keep people safe with the truth. That is the reality we are in.

Maybe how its being treated there is different than here. Here its been used to control people through ignorance. Make them to scared to think for themselves. But then again the truth isn't nearly as terrifying as what we've been told. But not as terrifying doesn't sell. And people have seen through the bullshit and now trust nothing that they are being told by those claiming to have the information. Those whose position would give them the information.

I am well aware there are places to find accurate information,  and most of it seems to be from outside the US. I just don't think we should have to search for the truth, especially when it has been ridiculously obvious.

It is the duty of politicians and reporters to share the truth. It is the responsibility of medical professionals not to speak on news outlets that value clicks more than truth. If you speak from a platform whose foundations are built on lying,  you lose credibility and no one will listen even when you speak the truth.

you can't just blame "politicians" in this atmosphere (or ever again), because people glom their own unground axes onto that and you get nowhere. especially in the united states, where people are generally uneducated, highly polarized, and frankly stupid.

even on this board, with people savvy enough to navigate one of the least intuitive message board designs in all of the internet, most posters see a blanket "politician" and don't put it together its the person they've been voting for their entire adult life and will type paper bricks on the internet defending.

the moron watching fox news when infowars is off the air is never going to realize what he believes and does is the problem. However, it's real easy to point out right now that Ron DeSantis is a fuging ghoul.

so we should probably just be more specific when addressing political failures. Roughly 35% of this board will trip over themselves to defend a generic republican. But they probably aren't as inclined to make an ass of themselves and deny reality for greg abbott specifically.

What most are saying, is that a truthful post, would include CNN, MSNBC, Govs of NY, NJ, LA, etc., not just the morons who watch one side of the political theater.   "the moron" sucks up info at his own detriment by believing out of pocket, any of these manipulative dispensers of "news".   The one sided arguments is how we continue to produce morons.

The moron believing only Trump is headed for disaster.  Conversely, the moron believing only Biden, or Pelosi is headed for the same destination.

I still cannot believe any country in the world would dare elect people like this, or nominate them in the first place.  If we can do that, then we are ripe for any sort of disaster that would demand facts.  American morons, need no facts, we don't require them, ever.  It is simple enough to say the R's like it or the D's like it.  Then the morons turn the other way.

like what has specifically been said on cnn or msnbc that is so objectionable?

i can't throw a dead cat without seeing something horrifying from fox news

but it doesn't really seem like CNN or MSNBC are doing anything egregious, unless it's the times when CNN times to "both sides" it with a trump admin official, though it looks like everyone is giving up on the executive

and be specific with your complaints! don't just name like 2 democratic states and say "see see!" ny was quite successful eventually after the initial sure, though that's falling apart now. New Jersey likewise. There are lots of criticisms to be made but they're all vastly superior to to like henry mcmaster or brian kemp.

John Bel Edwards is in a special situation since he has no real control over his state at the county level and uh things are special in louisiana

My bad.

I do agree with you that the media and politicians SHOULD feel a sense of duty to be truthful, but the reality is that they're a manifestation of society. If this BS didn't work for them, they'd stop doing it. They cater to the lowest common denominator and unfortunately more and more of society is trending toward that lowest common denominator.

This is so true.  If it didn't work, they wouldn't do it.  And as individuals we sometimes try to justify how we vote/what sources we go to for information by saying "well despite them doing X, Y and Z..."  But it doesn't work like that.  When they get the desired result (votes, ratings), whatever tactics they are using become reinforced.

CNN not doing anything egregious? Have you not seen the past 2 weeks of news? All it shows is CoronaVirus... Panic.. pointing fingers, and long drawn out newscast about how Trump is bad. Is this really news? Do they need to go on and on and on about Trump and the Coronavirus? I dunno... instead of the news? Like how there was an naval ship on fire for 5 days.. hardly any coverage, How there is a link to pedophilia from famous celebrities though Epstein? Nothing. CNN hasn't covered the flooding in China/India, Brazil Coronavirus cases. These are just a few examples. CNN had an interview  of Trumps niece asking questions about him. Is this really news? How is this news? Main Stream Media needs to report the news, and just the news, they do not need to have experts on the show, or interviews, or some person going on giving opinions, etc.. it becomes entertainment, not news, at that point.
