WHO are you?  Really, the WHO that initially said this wasn't bad, to crap--the whole world is in dire straits, is now saying asymptomatic people ARE NOT VECTORS!

Wow, so this whole time we closed off the economy to healthy people was a farce.  Ugh.

Asymptomatic People are VERY Unlikely to Spread COVID-19

I cant believe folks are still afraid of this thing.  On par with other viruses, contagious but less lethal.  Look out there.  You see those crowds?  Today marks day 14 since the protests started. We should be seeing reports from all over the nation about a massive spike.  I doubt you'll hear of it tho.

That’s false.  My dad’s job they temp checked everyone who came to work and asked if anyone had symptoms.  65 got sick same day.

It does spread. At my workplace it went from a few cases to over 250 in about a week.

Now, most of the ones who tested positive turned out to be asymptomatic. I don't there there was a single hospitalization from the entire 250+ group. Could be wrong about that.

In fairness, they also don't have free access to testing, so it might be running rampant.

Satellite images from Whunan area hospitals show major uptick in vehicles from early September to October.  Why would these hospitals see so many more patients and require extra staff?  That's not cold and flu season yet. You have to wonder if the Chinese government sat on this for a couple of months?  If so, then this virus was here in December, not January and likely the 'bad flu' that swept through my work mid-December was this coronavirus.  Symptoms were very much in line with Covid-19.

Satellites Images Show Whunan Hospitals Much Busier In October.

As if the importance of masks wasn’t clear before, the example of the hair salon in Missouri is a good test case.

2 stylists tested positive. They exposed around 140 people. At this point, none of those people have tested positive, and the incubation period has passed. All wore masks, including the stylists in question.

I wouldn't jump the gun yet.  Testing is being done more and more.  As a result there are more cases being discovered.  That doesn't necessarily mean the virus is is spreading uncontrollably again.  Only 7% of occupied hospital beds are currently being used for COVID-19 patients and still a 1/3 of hospital beds are completely vacant.

This is the Memorial Day spike. Get ready for the protest spike.

Regardless...

You guys need to give up the dream that this thing is going to go away. Transmissions still occurred during the first lockdown. A second lockdown won’t eradicate it either.

People are running out of money and patience. Both of those are social distancing killers.

They won’t wear masks because ‘ma freedom’, and a vaccine is unlikely to come out anytime soon. If it does, a lot of people will refuse to get it.

If masks were required by law we’d most likely get somewhere, but that isn’t happening.

Btw...the nyc subway system reopened yesterday. That situation will be interesting to watch.

My gym opened up 3 weeks ago, and the only difference is they shut down the refillable water fountains so no one could use them...

I was dedicated, went 5x a week for the past 4 years. No way in hell am I going in there. If I wanted to purposely try and get COVID the gym would be first on the list of places I’d go.

    • His points are valid.  However, it seems a bit based on past performance and fails to take into consideration trends and conditions that might suggest growth in 2025.   For one, he breaks the team down by position and ranks them separately.  I guess that is a fair way to do it, but they are dependent upon each other. Last year, our DL sucked.  That impacts the rest of the defense.  With no internal pressure, the QBs simply step up to avoid the Edge rush.  I would have suggested that the internal DL is now featuring pass rushers and large people who can collapse the pocket.  Secondly, the LBs were not protected very well in 2024.  It is hard to see the holes and step up when a guard is in your earhole a second after the snap.  Finally, the defensive backs will be forced to make fewer tackles and they will be better in pass protection with a new and improved DL.    Canales made an interesting comment the other day, and I (from the outside looking in) feel the same way:  (paraphrasing) "I have never seen a better group of rookies."   I think the biggest concern is the learning curve.  How long before these rookies are ready?   I am bullish on this team.  I think they win 3 of their first 4 and get confident.  The get the fans behind them.  From there, they win 6 of the remaining 13.  If they stay injury free, they have an outside shot at the NFC south.
    • Biiiiiig eyeroll on this.  First, Look at historical stats of the most recent historical great DBs.  I plucked 3, Revis, Sherman, and Norman (cuzz he was our guy).  Combined post age 30, there are TWO pro bowls between those 3 and wanna get this...ZERO seasons with 16 games started.  ALL missed time.  It is RARE that Corners survive that long in the NFL and its about time we started recognizing this fact.  Jaycee is a good bet because it hasnt been anything seriously devastating injury wise, and with his sample size he could and should be an incredible piece for the panthers through age 30. Jaire kinda flops on the other side, hes 28...so hes under 30, but he wants his payday before it comes up, hes also been injury prone lately.  Bulk of the contract will be on opposite side of 30.  Will both of these guys help us be better in 2026?  SURE!  No doubt, but the question is, will these guys help us past 2026...not sure. The investment isnt worth the risk, nor would the ROI be anywhere close to worth it.  Neither guy is moving us from a 6-8 win team to a 8-10 team, period. My point is we're in this state a 6-8 win team IMO and he projects us as  a 4-6 win team.  EVEN if we think Jaire or Ramsey will make us a 6-8 win team, it in NO WAY is worth the money or capital to move that much just to suck kinda less.
    • I assumed he was retiring but apparently he plans on playing multiple more seasons.  Florida is gonna have trouble holding onto everyone.  Happens to all teams that have that much success.
