The only reason why we picked Derrick Brown

We’re going all in on Trevor Lawrence. I don’t even want to hear about Justin Fields’ name. It’s Trevor or bust. But, this franchise has proven in the past that they do not know how to tank properly. Rhule and Brady must have not like Tua enough or believe that he can be fully healthy again to not trade up to #4. Green Bay took Aaron Rodgers while they still had Favre. Last night, they “traded” up and took Jordan Love in the “1st round” to be Rodgers replacement knowing that they have bigger needs elsewhere.

What are all you tankers going to do if we play well this season - if Teddy and the offense are really effective?

He's young and mentally tough, having come back from a horrid injury. He's familiar with the system we are going to run. We've got weapons on that side of the ball.

All I want is to win. Waiving the white flag for a hypothetically successful NFL player is absurd to me.

Brown makes us much better as a team, shoring up the most desperate need. That's why we picked him. He's an *elite* prospect at an incredibly important position where we also happened to be in need.

If all you want to do is win, this isn’t going to be fun. Don’t you want to win a SB? I do and I can tell you that bouncing around .500 won’t do it. That’s what Teddy will bring us. We lost a ton and I like the Brown pick but he’s not solving all the issues. The OL is still terrible and the D still has gigantic holes.

I don’t know why trying to build up cap (we’ve used way more than we could have saved), get comp picks and try to get a real franchise QB is such a bad thing. I want another Cam who can help get us to the playoffs 4 out of 5 and make a SB run. Teddy ain’t that guy, sorry. He’s a 6-10, miss out on Lawrence and Fields type of guy.

Do you really think we’ve gained more than we lost from a 5-11 team? Do you really think we can compete with a vastly improved Tampa and a more talented NO? No idea on Atlanta, they could be awful or good. Suffice it to say that we are the worst team in the NFC South. Our QB is the worst and our D is the worst and likely our OL. Personally, I don’t think it’s hard to be objective and say that if we didn’t sign Teddy we would have had the inside track on the top pick and had 3 more comp picks and a ton more cap space to rollover. Brady, Brees and Ryan are getting old. They are 3 of the 6 (Fitz doesn’t count with Tua) NFL staters 35 or older and yet we are trying to be competitive instead of buckling down for two years, getting our franchise QB and setting ourselves up to own the division again like 2013-2015, even 2017.

Any future prospect is an unknown at the NFL level. To say you want to lose in order to acquire an unknown commodity makes little sense to me. That is my point.

You are not guaranteed a savior by losing. So to do so, and intentionally as some wish, is just antithetical to the nature of competition - to the spirit of sport.

Truth!

Grown men don't play football to lose, in ANY situation!

To win, you have to risks. Being content with Teddy Bridgwater is like a guy only performs missionary on his wife and works the same 9-5 job his entire life.
