NFL Games PPV Only in 2020?

The when, if, and how there will be an NFL season is still undecided.  Player salaries are paid by ticket and concession sales.  That money still needs to be generated if the season is played in closed stadiums with no fans. 

Would you pay to watch the panthers on tv this season?  I believe i would.

The overwhelming money comes in from network TV so no there won't be pay per view.

Yeah okay good luck with that. After everything that has gone on and people being deprived of sports for a year... good luck having to make people pay to watch the NFL when a lot of people might still be unemployed and struggling to get by

Most money a team makes is from TV deals via profit sharing.    They don't really care so much about ticket sales actually.

There's zero chance of this happening.  I think the TV deals are lucrative enough for the league and teams to survive financially.  However, the salary cap may take a hit next year.

After setting a record for viewing for the draft and having ABC carry their flag, they would be cutting off their nose to spite their face by doing this.  Yes the league has its asstard moments but I have a hard time thinking they would be this stupid.

As has been said already, this is not how it works in today's NFL.  The TV contracts are king when it comes to player salaries.

I’d be fine with it. I’d be happy if they just made Sunday ticket available to everyone and not just dish network or whoever it is they have the deal with now.

They fixed that a few years ago.  I've got Cox Cable and watched Sunday Ticket on my iPad and thru my PS4.

If you pay it and they still advertise, the NFL will never go back. Some of you would hand your wallets to a salesman if he has something you want and not think twice about it.  They might use this opportunity to test the market, but if you pay it now, buckle up.  Free games are gone.
