Sorry if posted already.  I found this surprising given our struggles at QB and Offensive Line.

It's hard for a running back to be more productive than Christian McCaffrey, who finished with the third-most yards from scrimmage (2,392) in NFL history. McCaffrey scored 19 touchdowns, was efficient as a runner and receiver, absorbed huge volume and only fumbled once on 403 touches. The only hole I can poke in his production is that much of it came with the Panthers trailing; he (453 receiving yards) and teammate DJ Moore (421) ranked Nos. 1 and 2 in receiving yards when their team's chance of winning was below 10%. It's difficult to imagine McCaffrey being quite as productive in 2020, but even 80% of his 2019 season would make him one of the NFL's best backs.

Everybody knows McCaffrey is a star, but even given those numbers above, I'm not sure people are appropriately valuing Moore. The 2018 first-rounder finished with 1,175 receiving yards despite catching passes from Kyle Allen and a compromised Cam Newton. Moore could be a top-10 receiver with better quarterback play from Teddy Bridgewater this season. I'm not quite as optimistic about Curtis Samuel, who averaged less than 6.0 yards per target a year ago, but new addition Robby Anderson also should benefit from an improved passer. The biggest question is Ian Thomas, who impressed at the end of 2018 and will have the first shot at taking over for Greg Olsen at tight end.

We are extraordinarily strong there so that would only bump us up.

50, 46, 38 and 14. Our QB should be top 5 in TD passes, no problem. We’re talking about the division, right?

I'm not seeing top 5 just because we are likely going to be playing behind a lot.  If you can discount our rushing option, it makes things a little easier to keep our main receiving options covered.  I like what talent is there, just think it will take some time for us to figure out how to take advantage.  What could really turn the tide is if guys like Samuel or Thomas really stand out and make it more difficult for teams to blanket our primary possession receivers.

Top 3 RB, a Top 15 WR, a Top 40ish WR, and whatever Samuel becomes.  Mediocre QB and OL play will result in a pretty good offense just by getting out of the way and letting those guys do their thing. 

The potential is there. Just need to see if they can get them playing well together. And, which always seems to be a Panthers problem, if we can stay healthy.

      Mel Kiper said he would retire if Jimmy Clausen wasn't a successful NFL starter too. Just because the experts make a claim doesnt mean it's true either.  Bryce may be a serviceable QB for someone. Serviceable QBs don't bring you a perennial winner or lead you to the playoffs over and over. Serviceable QBs also dont get 50m plus per year deals which is what a Bryce extension would look like.  The stats show he hasn't been even a serviceable QB in the 3 years he's been here. The eye test shows he hasn't put together 2 franchise QB salary games back to back in 3 years.  Complain all you want about people being negative, but people pointing out that Bryce is held to a different standard than anyone else on the team isn't complaining. It's stating the obvious.

      We have big bodied WRs and 3 TEs who all have potential and each bring something different to the table. I never saw the need to go out there and try and find a new starting TE.  While it's nice to have a guy like McBride, Bowers, etc, I think a team's better use of the cap is by having TEs on rookie contracts or cheap vets, not having to pay elite TE money.
