Most players have some kind of experience at multiple positions and can operate in short term in game situations.  The bigger problem comes in the specialty positions like FGs, punters, holders and long snappers.  They may be forced to carry extras on the 53 or PS.

If you go back to HS days, I'd say virtually all NFL players have played multiple positions likely on both sides of the ball. HS coaches don't want to take that type of talent off the field for anything. If you've ever seen a future NFL player on a HS field, you understand why.

Shaq has played RB in college, I miss iron man football. That was one thing I liked about area ball, you better have your cardio right! Stantley Thomas-Oliver III played WR in college. I bet CMC could be a QB for a few plays and be one hell of a safety.

Could be a nice way for some bubble guys to make the roster if they have position flexibility.  But the idea of any starting level player playing both sides?  Won't be happening.  If it's even an option, shut the season down.  Extreme example, but would be pretty ridiculous for CMC to get injured because he's been asked to play FS for the day.   3rd string LT's, sure.  Anyone else, GTFO

Yeah but a DT blocking on GL situations has its advantages, let alone letting him get it like ‘Fridgerator Perry for the Bears... absolutely don’t want CMC doing IronMan ball, but others of less significant positions/stature might not be a bad idea at all...... a CB who has good hands, don’t who’d fit that bill but just saying, in on a 5 wide set? Why not? Drunk too much for specifics but thinks point is made...... maybe....
