Would anyone be surprised if the only player that plays well against the Raiders is Christian McCaffrey?

I have a strong feeling with so many new faces on the team along with the absence of preseason games, that the only player that will definitely show up and play well in the first game will be Christian McCaffrey.

I don’t expect any other player on the roster to make a big impact. Any big plays or game changing moments by any other player will be a surprise to me and pure gravy. 

CMC will probably have 200+ total yards and no one will blink an eye. I would be surprised if any other WR/TE/RB had more than 50 total yards and that includes DJ Moore. I don’t expect more than 200 passing yards from Bridgewater, half of which will likely come from dump offs and short passes to McCaffrey. CMC will probably again repeatedly bail out the offense with his insane elite elusiveness.

I would love to be wrong and hope Joe Brady has completely implemented his system and we see a quick strike multi-faceted attack that features a lot of the weapons on offense, but given the lack of a preseason and the weird offseason, I have a strong feeling we’re going to see the CMC show on Sunday yet again.

I think our offense should be pretty solid. Our young defense will probably struggle more this season but get better as it goes

A random person or two will step up every game, but honestly it's a safe bet.  A lot of teams are going to be RUSTY after no preseason and limited practices/film, not have a crowd to feed off of, not in game shape, etc. 

Offenses are going to eventually feast on defenses this year IMO, but it might take a couple of weeks. Add in the fact that we have a young team, a lot of new/moving parts, new coaches, etc. and our offense might take a few weeks to resemble anything we want to get excited about.

Not at all. Anything is possible. The Raider's board wasn't too thrilled with their D so the opposite is also a possibility. Too many unknowns. It's certainly not what I hope to see and this should be a solid opener on a tough year.

Yeah, if CMC is the only player who plays well his numbers still aren't likely to look great.

Maybe so. But maybe you also have too high of expectations for a coach with 1 yr of NFL experience as an assistant paired with a weird offseason with no preseason games to implement his system. Practice and game speeds are two different things and I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of errors and miscommunications especially early on in the season. And once that starts happening, the offense is going to revert to giving the ball to CMC constantly to keep the offense moving.

I doubt our wide-outs are going to be held back, and Teddy will shut many mouths on Sunday!
