Robby Anderson appreciation thread

I'd like to take a moment to recognize and appreciate Robby Anderson.

Without Robby, yesterday's game would have been pretty miserable. DJ didn't look too great. Curtis was mostly invisible. Robby was the guy that kept the chains moving.

Then today, he tweets this.

What a good message to tell the young folks. Robby might be my favorite new player.

It's quite possible, but I am an optimist at heart, at least I try to be.  But Hurney still being around in all this has my expectations very low.

First of all, he's a solid player who really wasn't expected to even reach this level of success. Secondly, he was a Jet. Lastly, he pretty much began proving last year that he's more than just a deep threat. I'd say that he continued to do so yesterday, considering he had 40 yards and moved the chains on a few plays, outside of his 75 yard TD.

I'm a huge fan of him, even before yesterday's great debut. Really hoping he sticks around past this contract and can perform as the consistent #2 we've been looking for for years. Really solid, value signing either way. Now we need to hope DJ can pull it all together and be a legit #1. @top dawg is this the most excited you've been about our WRs in over a decade or what? I know it is for me...

    • FLA showed everyone it’s not about superstars. they bullied the best line in the NHL into obscurity. they played hard, were in the right positions, and ran over everything that got in their way.
    • That’s really not what you said and when I even expressed doubt as to your intentions with the post you doubled down and remained unclear on whether you were trying to drag Dean Smith for whatever reason. You just got the facts wrong, which if you don’t follow the local college programs like you say then maybe you just were mistaken and thought Smith didn’t win championships or have legit superstars, and that is ok, but you just doubled down when my first post was more corrective than anything. I’m not sure what you expect posting objectively false things like “RBA has a lot of wins with nothing to show for it like Dean Smith” (paraphrasing) on a message board with plenty of UNC fans. I’m not taking it as a personal affront, we can agree to disagree, Dean Smith’s legacy fortunately will not be affected by this conversation. Screw the (Florida) Panthers?
    • Bring in the free agents and trades.  Florida is the best team and unless Tulsky makes it happen, it’s more of the same…which isn’t bad…but it’s time to win a goddamn cup.
