how uninform everything is in life remains so crazy to me.

College football:

Clemson/Wake game - 50 parents allowed

Clemson/Citadel game - 19,000 fans allowed.

The idea that 0 fans or 100% is the only way is stupid and anyone who suggests that is a total fool.

Clemson did a great job with it (I attended the game), you had specific times to enter the gate and seats were spaced one row and 6 ft apart.

Space fans 50 ft apart before selling zero tickets, I'd rather have one family of 5 every 10 rows then zero.

That's how you separate political and logical precautions.

I still don't understand the infatuation with Covid and fans at sporting events, they let 1,000 people into my local Walmart at once, ONE THOUSAND... One Walmart is similar to one section at an NFL game (if not worse).

Politicians were ok with in-person dining one table apart, but god forbid people are spaced out at a football game.

It's about time. And the NFL should seriously consider rescinding the fines on vic fangio, Carroll, and shannahan. This whole mask wearing requirement bs is just that, bullshit, and it's been that way since day one. Fauci should be in prison.

Either way, politicizing a so called public health crisis is criminal, and this will all magically disappear after Nov 3rd.

We ain't stupid

Ill say this- It looks very odd during a game when players are out there slobbing on one another while breathing heavy, a few yards away theres an army of people wearing face diapers. Its also werid to keep reading-"O by the way its not dangerous as we said months ago". I thought at the beginning "If its this bad there should be body-bags on the streets, why havnt the homeless been dropping like flies?"

Goodluck getting people to believe you when its constant lying.

It does appear to be lower level only in the first game for some reason.

My guess is logistics. It would take way more effort to have to sanitize/enforce all required protocols for all 3 levels, including the escalators, restrooms, commons areas, etc. I suspect they will expand once they ensure they can handle even 1 level well.

Also, for those whining about them not having fans for the season opener and acting like it was the greatest injustice and overreaction: so you missed out on 1 whole home game. Also so much for Roy Cooper keeping us locked up in our underground bunkers. It's almost like not blindly doing things that could endanger lives and instead having a thoughtful strategy and taking the time to get it right is a bad thing.

People like you are the main reason that this "so called public health crisis" can't get under control.

Keep thinking this is a hoax all you want to until it hits close to home.

You are so right. I lost my Aunt last week to it and I hate people who want to deny its real. It’s very real and it’s horrible

some people only believe in things until it happens to them....kinda like Nancy Regan did not believe in using placenta stem cells until ‘her Ronnie’ got Alzheimer’s

we are not  the most forward thinking country

Not sure I understand the point about the homeless. It's been well established that the highest risk is being indoors with poor ventilation especially when people aren't wearing masks and in close proximity. You know what that does sound like? Nursing homes, prisons, cruise ships, among other places that have had bona fide severe outbreaks.

Why would homeless people, who are literally outdoors and generally avoided by other people like the plague, going to be dropping like flies? Hell they're better off than most of us.

I do agree it's a little odd that they get on the coaches so hard for not wearing masks while they let the players play maskless. I get the idea but it seems a bit inconsistent to say the least.

I'm so sorry for your loss. My condolences to you and your family.

You're absolutely right about people not believing in things unless it happens to them.

Sad reality.

The homeless are generally in poor health and herd up in big cities. If the virus was as bad as once thought, bye-bye homeless. Ive heard all sort of angles and opinions about indoors/outdoors, hot/cold weather, surface/air RA life, etc etc. Some say this helps, then few weeks later its the opposite. Again there should have been some over-reaction, just be prepared to to defend that with reasons.

At least you have enough brains to admit its very odd about the mask wearing on the side-lines while players are bleeding and putting heavy amounts of spit airborne. Just like people wearing a lose fitting disposable mask for the 57th time, SO that is greatest protection and is the only reason you dont spread the convid?? I went to a doctors visit and seen two different people pull their mask down to cough, plus I can not count the number of people wearing a mask but its not covering their nose. Its almost to the point where essential oils or getting blessed by a priest will protect you just as good.

Exactly. And it's a little hard to believe that India, with a population of over a billion and one of the highest homelessness rates in the world has somehow managed to keep their death toll under 100k. Numbers just don't add up, not to mention the amount of asymptomatic patients overall from what is supposed to be a very nasty and dibilitating disease that attack your lungs and respiratory system makes you raise an eyebrow as well.

That and the cdc stating only 6% of covid deaths are solely caused by covid, 94% died with some other serious underlying condition like terminal illness or cancer, all the states that had to roll back their death counts bc they were literally classifying even suicide deaths as covid deaths just bc they tested positive after the fact, the amount of false positives reported by antibody testing, only to find out they never had covid to begin with, all the monetary incentives the government is providing hospitals to treat covid deaths (more if the patient is treated on a ventilator), all the back and forth between the CDC, WHO, and the NIH as far as guidelines go, all the social media censorship of doctors and other Healthcare professionals coming out and literally exposing the truth of the pandemic, the multiple patents before the first case of covid 19 was even known, the fact that the Wuhan institute of virology was literally studying the coronavirus strain in their lab before it was released, etc etc.

Let's also not forget event 201 in 2019, which was a pandemic simulation held by John's Hopkins, the very institite in charge of tracking covid 19 infections and deaths. Just too many coincidences for you to not question the official narrative.

Not saying the virus isn't real, but this could have easily been deliberately released on the public for political purposes, a sort of modern day biological warfare election meddling tool to get back at trump, the tariffs, and the trade deals that suffocated china's economy, leading the democrats to shut down some of the largest cities and states in the world purposely crashing the economy and ending all the economic prosperity we were all enjoying under this administration. Let's also not forget all the race riots going on a few months before the election. Can you even remember the last election the race card wasn't played by the left? Remember the dallas riots in 2016? It's just comical that society caves in time and time again to one of the most common and oldest political tactics in the book (divide and conquer) just to garner votes.

So sorry to hear about your Aunt. Her loss is tragic for you and your family and I  am astounded by those who appear to be callus to her death and at this point the loss of 200,00 other people.

My sincere condolences to you and your family.

I think the underlying logic is that, with frequent testing, contact tracing, and presumably not a lot of exposure to people not wearing masks, it's fairly safe to be in a controlled environment playing a contact sport against other people once a week.  It'd be like living in a house with four other people and not wearing masks at home but all four engaging in as many risk mitigation factors as possible when in public.  Except on a larger scale and with things like instant testing and contact tracing at your disposal.

Let's not forget that these guys are getting tested constantly and they're wearing tracking devices once they enter a team facility too.  If somebody tests positive the contact tracing is much more fast and robust than what's available to like 99% of the public.  The way I understand it, contact tracers can generate a heat map and almost instantly know every staff person, coach, player, and so on they were around.

Yes, this is it. Plus the overhead of having the second level open when they can safely change the manifest for 7% capacity to keep them spread out on one level. @w280sax
