I'm also game to trade for Nick Mullens :) (I know we have Teddy and totally support the guy while he's here, but he's not a long term answer)

He's been enlightening every time he's needed to play in front of Jimmy G and Beathard.

DG is thinking he is smarter than everyone else.  I remember him literally laughing at analytics post draft when they drafted Barkley and again when they got Jones.

If Giants end up picking 1st, everyone might be gone, coaches, DG, and Jones.

Giants are interesting, if they end up picking 1st I would expect them to pick Trevor.  If they end up 2nd or 3rd they might convince themselves to give Jones another year and add Sewell.

Sam Ehlinger....dude will not be a good QB in the NFL. He gets talked up because he went to Westlake where Brees and Foles went, but he's not an NFL caliber QB. He relies on his running ability way too much, had badass NFL caliber WRs during his time at Texas, and still loses frustrating games to weaker opponents. Stay far far away.

Source: I live in Austin and I've watched a lot of his games even dating back to when he was at Westlake (local news highlights at least)

I do find it interesting.  He has these flash in the pan type moments that make you go, well that looked nice but then gets wildly inaccurate.  Then I'll randomly see some compare him to The Golden Calf of Bristol.  I don't really have a comparison for him; maybe if you smushed together Matt Moore and Jalen Hurts.

There isn’t an NFL comparison for him because he doesn’t belong there lol

I don’t dislike Sam I just think he’s overrated and the Texas teams he played on underachieved.

I call him ShittyTebow. Because that’s what he is. He is just a solid College QB. He won’t make it in the Pro’s as he always rolls out. He never stays in the pocket. You don’t have to stay in the pocket all the time, but man. He is NEVER in the pocket.

    • What I love and hate about this team is it’s more filled with potential breakout players than ever before. JT, XL, Coker, Smith-Wade, Ikem, Trevin… and even Bryce are all guys I could legitimately see taking the next step. But the problem with having so many of those guys is that team success somewhat relies on them taking that step, and some are bound not to. That being said, I’m cautiously optimistic given our softer schedule, the way the offense clicked late last year, and the direction we finally have at GM, coach, and QB. Could see us as a sneaky playoff team.
    • Me, signing up for FanDuel Network, and then canceling FanDuel Network:
    • Smith-Wade for me. He has the path to some decent hefty snaps in Evero’s scheme. He held his own last year and improved as he continued to get snaps— If he makes some strides, could be a very capable nickel.  I agree with Sanders. Bryce had some trust in him that final Falcons game post crazy head-stand.  Bryce looked for him a lot that final game and made some critical catches to get us the W. Seems he’s put in major work so I’m hopeful about him.  Wallace will have an offseason under his belt. I like him a lot, was higher graded than most remember in his draft (I.e Brugler had him LB3/70 overall) but he isn’t as cerebral of an LB as we’re used to. I think he could thrive if we get D captain/film-junky type next to him— because right now that’s Jewell.  Still a bit cautious but love the talent. Rozeboom may snag some playing time from him if he’s still working out the kinks.
