you guys did nothing but PILE on mike davis.

"oh he can't convert short down yardage."

"oh he's done nothing in his career, just a waiver-wire JAG."

mike davis HAS NO WEAKNESSES and i demand that every single person who didn't acknowledge that he's the greatest thing to happen to this team since world war two come in here, apologize for being a hater, and beg forgiveness. the mike davis hate has to stop.

and i stg if one single person comes in and mentions the falcons being on pace to allow the most amount of yards in the super bowl era when contextualizing davis's performance today i am going to lose it.

context doesn't matter - yards are yards and wins are wins and there is no gray area

Just now, DaveThePanther2008 said:

I wasn't a hater but damn I love this guy.

My only hope is that Brady figures out a way to have him and CMC on the field at the same time.

You get him and CMC on the field at the same time and can control the clock we might pull an upset against some of those upper echelon teams.

why do we have to mention CMC? why can't we just talk about mike davis? this is what i'm saying. haters

    • And you know this how? Stay in your lane, junior. I'm pretty sure I'm a lot older than you, am a whole lot more experienced with life, and have watched football in earnest probably longer than you've been alive. I agree, but I was talking directly about injuries. As far as the economics, I'm assuming that Moton would have to take a pay cut and would probably be compelled to if he wants to stay in Charlotte. He seems like a thoughtful and practical guy. He knows that he's getting older and realizes the nature of the business. Hell, last time there were were questions on whether he would be here the last season. Dan and Brandt were dialing up the pressure. I don't think they're going to go into any type of contractual extension discussions without having a backup plan--i.e., a person that will appear to be Moton's replacement. And, to be honest, that person may be Moton's replacement depending how things go. But, I get the impression that Moton wants to be in Charlotte (unless he's developed some undying desire to chase a championship somewhere else).
    • It would be pretty fun with something like this. 3 on 3 the first 5 minutes, 2 on 2 the next 5 minutes (after a stoppage), then 1 on 1 (after a stoppage) the rest of the way. I just feel like this would be equal parts entertaining and chaos to watch
    • I'm more surprised our odds to win the division didn't really improve that much after free agency (like +380 -> + 320). I threw a few hundred on us to win the division again at +425 back in February, just because I figured Atlanta and Tampa would get worse. After our free agency, I am still surprised Tampa is the favorite to win the division.
