Teddy can redeem himself in New Orleans

Teddy had a bad game. Redemption for him can come this week in a place he won games at last year.

This is a good story.

I’ve said in the game day threads after bad drives I don’t care so much that Teddy had a bad drive, I wanted to see him rebound from it. This week is another example. No two bad starts in a row. I’m trusting the process.

Without CMC I don’t expect us to win. If anyone knows how to stop this offense it’s Payton since it’s essentially his offense.

Teddy was brought in to be a single part of this offense that included CMC, not carry this offense. This offense also can’t afford a guy as important as DJ to continue to have crucial drops.

Should be an interesting matchup though, Payton vs Brady

Kyle Allen looked pretty good last year until he ran into the 49ers' D and that pretty much derailed his season. Let's see how Teddy bounces back from a similar experience. I don't expect a vet to come off the rails as badly as Allen did, but I'll admit that I think we've already seen the best of Teddy in Carolina. We'll see...

    • This guy pre-draft was saying he could take or leave football, and he seems to have been playing with that mentality ever since lol.
    • Agreed, another safety would be nice. Bud Clark, TCU, is one I would like to see us take a flyer on later in the draft, if he stays healthy and we don't take someone earlier. I just really hope we draft a solid C this year. Tired of seeing us cycle through average to below average players in that area.
    • Bryce doesn't like throwing into the middle of the field unless the play broke down or it's set up to give him a passing lane.  So because of this issue, most of the passing offense has to be outside the numbers towards the boundary. So you see him throw a lot of dump offs, swing routes, short side out routes, comebacks or deep balls outside the numbers using the boundary as protection of an interception.    Pretty easy for a NFL defense to see this and scheme against it.  All you have to do is run a shell cover 2 deep dime, LB plays a hook underneath, take the flat away with a blitz/flat zone option for the two inside DB's, outside two DB's play hook zone underneath and carry anything deep.    Pretty much what NO ran to take away Rico while also limiting What Bryce can do as well.
