It was a 6 week injury, could heal a little faster but I don’t think anyone wants to rush CMC back from this and risk long term effects.

I heard initially 4 to 6 weeks with CMC believing he would be back sooner than later.

I'd say this week or next.

I hope Davis is rested and ready regardless because if like if they could ease CMC back slightly slowly. Like not playing 99% of offensive snaps. Heh

Three bad games?

Honestly I'd say two bad, two okay/meh, two good. He wasn't bad vs LVR or LAC.

First two and bears were bad, Chargers was meh, other two good. His passes were all over the place in the first two games. A bad pass is a bad pass regardless of whether the receiver catches it, and vice versa for good passes. A crazy catch or a bad drop doesn’t define the quality of a pass.

That said, I won’t split hairs on the Raiders game, if you wanna call it 2-2-2, I wouldn’t argue heh

Haha yeah. The difference between meh and bad is rather a matter of perspective.

Teddy needs to show up vs NO and not stop there to win most of us over regardless.

beat the falcons twice and split bears/saints and we're looking about as good as we could've hoped entering into that second quarter stretch. there was no way we were ever gonna run the table there.

i really hope the team is looking at pass rushing options this week. we got zero pressure on statue-ass nick foles and a middling bears line, so brees is gonna have all day if nothing changes.

Better come ready to score. Even with Brees showing his age they're still sixth in the NFL in points averaging 30.6 per game. Their D gives up an average of 30. Gonna have to find a way to put the ball in the endzone to have a chance.

I think we’re still OK-ish if we lose this Sunday. Prior to the Atlanta game I said we’d be ok if we go 2-2 over the next 4.

Lets say we do go 2-2 and we’re 4-4 after next Thursday. Then we go...

@KC - L

vs TB - L

Now we’re 4-6 and the Huddle is losing their minds but wait...

vs Detroit - W

@ Minnesota -  *

vs Denver - W

@ Green Bay - L

@ Washington - W

vs New Orleans - *

Minnesota isn’t good right now but they have the talent to win any given Sunday. So I view that game and week 17 as games that determine our season.

I felt like we needed to win 2/3 against the Bears, Vikings and Week 17. If we can win in Minnesota and head into week 17 with a 8-7 record I think 9-7 might get us in to the playoffs. There are 3 wild card teams this year

    • I must apologize, my sarcasm at times doesnt translate well in text form lol. At this point I would welcome us signing him, Trey Lance, trading for Jameis Winston, asking about Deshaun Watson and playing phone tag with Tom Brady before I ever fully entertain a season of Bryce Young being the defacto Starting Quarterback of the Panthers.

    • We had a QB who could do that and its the last time we went to the Super Bowl and the only time we had an MVP. Once he lost his ability to do that he was out of the league. To filter out insignificant stats I will only look at QBs who have played in 10 or more games this year. There are 28 qualifying QBs. Bryce is 25th in Air Yards per Attempt at 6.4. Only Joe Flacco, Cam Ward, and Dillon Gabriel are worse (6.0, 5.8, 5.1). Trevor Lawrence, Patrick Mahomes, and CJ Stroud are the median QBs at 7.1. Drake Maye and Sam Darnold lead the league at 8.7. Bryce is 18th in the league for passes that travel 30+ yards at 12. The median is Caleb Williams at 15. The league leader is Matthew Stafford with 26. With passes that travel 40+ yards, Bryce is tied with three others at 21st in the league with 3. Only Jacoby Brissett, Cam Ward, Joe Flacco, and Dillon Gabriel are worse. The median is a three-way tie with Drake Maye, Trevor Lawrence, and Baker Mayfield with 6. The league leader is Sam Darnold with 12. Having the ability to complete passes down the field (not YAC) stretches the defense and makes them account for more ground. It keeps players out of the box and keeps formations in nickel or dime, less line backers for your RBs to worry about. Bryce is why we have 2 losses against the Saints. If he had the outright ability to sling the football down field we beat the easily, but he doesn't. So they crowded the box and our 2 starting caliber RBs with our top ~10 Oline couldn't carry the offense to a win on their own. The limitations of the offense fall squarely on Bryce.
