Get a franchise quarterback or build the offensive line?

If we re-sign Moton and Little keeps developing at LT it's possible that we have the heavy lifting at OL done. Good interior OL are way easier to find then good OTs. Every year good interior OL are drafted in the mid-rounds.

A guy like DJ Humphries gives me some hope for Little. DJ really struggled early in his career, but seems to be doing better now for AZ.

Andrew Thomas who the Giants drafted #4 overall and who was loved by virtually all draftniks is looking like hot trash right now too.

Well, after week 7, we’ve got pick 14. There are 6 1 win and 6 2 win teams. I don’t think I ever remember a season with so many legit bad teams. 4 of the 13 teams in front of us are in 1 division and just their inter division games will bet those 4 teams 7 wins and 1 of then had to end up behind up by making the playoffs.

Unless we throw up a terrible game against Atlanta, I don’t see any way we move up. The teams below us don’t appear to be playing well or trying to play well at this point. We could easily finish 7-9 and stay at 14.

If we don’t resign Okung then a LT could be in the cards. I wouldn’t want to touch a G/C at 14 because we’ve seen the past few drafts that the guys in the mid 40s have been just as good. I’d go CB/DT/LB first and G 2nd.

This is a season of extremes. An awful lot of the league is absolute sh-t while a few teams seem to rise above it all.

I'll be talking out of both sides of my mouth about this. QB is the most important spot in all of sports, by far. It takes very unique circumstances to break this line of thinking. Like the panthers 2021 OL, if you need 5 new starters and play your elite QB behind that..... you will not worry about how to correctly handle a elite QB any more since you not longer have a elite QB.

without the OL, how do we know that we do not have a franchise qb?  Give him time and and a solid OL and TE, and Teddy could be as good as anyone we could draft--probably better, considering the risk.

I think Teddy is the QB here for the next 5 years, barring injury.  So the focus should be to prevent injury--build the OL.
