Honestly, I think he'll more likely be a third rounder. His deep accuracy at Wake left a lot to be desired.

Completely forgot about him. Definitely an intriguing prospect. Medical evaluations are going to be crucial for him. He's had surgery on both his throwing shoulder and his throwing thumb. Those are about as significant as injury red flags get for a QB. You'll have to forgive this Panthers fans for be a little nervous about QBs and shoulder surgeries.

Deep accuracy isn't absolutely necessary in a system like ours, but it helps...a lot.

If you want one in round 2 it’s possible Jamie Newman or Kyle Trask could be there. I’d also throw the Jags an offer for a third round pick and see if they are willing to move Minshew for it.

Minshew is playing LIGHTS OUT for a TERRIBLE Jags team this year.  13 TD's, 5 INT's.  The guy is a player.
