Top QBs for 2021

Possible future QBs are definitely a topic of discussion around here.  A lot of people, myself included, probably haven't been able to see many games of most of them, so write ups like these might be helpful for some of us.

Personally I would put Trevor first, but 2-4 who knows.  I could make an argument for any of them.  When its all said and done I'll just be happy if we get one of them without having to spend draft capital to move up.

I fully expect Trevor to go 1 and then QB2 to go 2, unless a team like the Bengals stays at 2 to get Sewell.  Wouldn't shock me at all if QB3 goes top 5.  If we end up drafting in that 7-10 range the decision might be made for us.

Wilson at #3 behind Lawrence and Fields...

Not the first analyst I've seen put him in that spot.

We get caught up in the order of them sometimes and lose sight of how high all 3 or 4 will go.

Some years QB3 might make it to pick 20. This year it is really feeling like QB3 might not make it past 5.

I completely forgot about Jamie Newman, I wonder if he still plans to enter the Draft in 2021 after opting out and other QBs playing so well this year. He might still be on the board into the 3rd round.

Raw talent--needed that season at Georgia--but he might be the perfect pick in that he could develop for 2 years.

QB 3 will not make it past 5 and neither will Sewell. Now I think Wilson will.

And yes the Panthers will pick just outside the top 5. Wilson isn’t worth that investment IMO, it’d be a reach and an after thought.

Unfortunately, unless the Panthers reach or trade the BPA is looking like a DE, then a DB with second pick.

There are a couple interesting oline picks in the the third round but I don’t expect anything special especially with Hurney.

Oline will have to wait yet another year. It’s almost as if building one takes planning and a little forethought  before hand. Who woulda thunk

Good 3 QBs in the top 5 could push Parsons to us

You might have 4.  Then there is Sewell, Rousseau, and maybe a WR or CB---I would say that Parsons is the perfect MLB and he fits most any system.  He will be top 10, as you know.

It will be interesting to see what New England does.   Bill B actually thought the dynasty was because he is a coaching genius and handling draft duties.  His mistakes were never exposed.  Brady was that good.

Now he is trying to win in division with only 1 weak sister instead of 3.  I bet he makes an aggressive move to get a top QB this year.

---------------------------------------

Another brilyent idea:  Newman and Trask are wildcards.  Both could find the first round-or they could be there in the third.  I think a coach who thinks he can mold a qb--a coach with a veteran in place to keep the rookie from having to play---is where Trask and Newman will go.  I see Trask in Indy behind Rivers and Newman, assuming that he is as valued as I think he is (and that BB cannot move up and grab a top 4 QB, will end up in New England (second round) or Possibly Pittsburgh  (first or second), to groom behind Ben.

Cam Newton

So tired of hearing this, Cam could have been here and played on the last year of his deal. However, he chose to ask for an extension after being injured for 2 full seasons, which he did not deserve, so he got released. Now he is playing for less than 1 million and not playing all that well anyway.

Just outside... With our current trend going we probably will pick 9 or 10th. It's been a really bad year for teams. We are probably outside on even a top LT at this point unfortunately.
