Supposing we do draft a quarterback in Round One...

He shouldn't. We have the coaching staff to win games now, we can address some holes in FA and roll out with a QB who will be better than Teddy just by the very fact he will be willing to push the ball down the field. Teddy is a very solid backup though.

1. Whats the state of the OL? Does something change?  New GM that locks Moton do we add another OL in rd 2-3?

If the OL doesnt look Worse, id potentially start him later on in the season.  Im not starting Day 1 but week 6-8?  Maybe inject him in.

Because I dont want him David Carr'd.

And if Moton, Miller and Okung leave in FA. Thats exactly what will happen.

Or, God forbid, Joe Burrow'd.

Anyone who wants to start him immediately should probably touch on how we prevent that from happening.

I prefer the wait a year route, but I mean its up to the coaches to evaluate whether he can start right away or not. Look no further than the Chargers, they planned to let Herbert sit behind Tyrod Taylor. It is unfortunate what happened to Taylor, but Herbert is obviously ready as a rookie.

    • I presented that scenario because this is a home game and we seemed to have improved in some capacity in that area as of recently. The problem with the possibility of sweeping the Bucs is this team has had a habit of quickly falling victim to momentum shifts. The Bucs are coming off a bitter loss the same as the Panthers but the Bucs have a much better proven track record this time of year and they have performed when the pressure is on unlike our Panthers. We have a shot against the Seahawks here in BOA but that is a matchup that could quickly get out of hand because they are a well coached team and that goes back to the momentum shifts I mentioned. I just don't see this team beating the Bucs in their stadium to close the season. Tall order to say the least.
    • I’d give it another year for Sanders and Evans, I don’t much care what you do with Tremble’s spot. Let him have another year or maybe replace him. Haven’t looked at his contract so that may be the determining factor.
    • Following the crazy up down pattern we finish 9-8 with an improbable sweep of TB, and lay an egg in the home playoff game.  I don’t know if I can sign on to sweeping TB but I suppose it’s possible, they aren’t really that good this year.    ps I can buy beating TB Sunday and losing to Seattle.  Then it just gets to can you fluke one game. Any given Sunday. So we’ll see.
